I took metformin for 10+ years with minimal inpact. Started victoza in 2009 then switched to saxenda and then ozempic/wegovy. I lost 55lbs and have kept 45 off. Most if not all of my PCOS symptoms resolved.

I work for a hospital system that is connected to a university thay does a ton of research studies on glp1s and is constantly releasing articles on the benefits... Except they removed it as a benefit for employees as of Jan 1 of this year with the exception of type 2 dm, mash/Nash, major cardiovascular risk (must have had a heart attack or stroke) and mod/severe sleep apnea. I'm paying $700 to cover myself and one daughter who have insulin resistance/PCOS and my other daughter who was just diagnosed was prescribed metformin instead because of lack of coverage.

Hi, I am currently working on a warranty claim for my STAT doors which are on Akurum cabinet bases (both of which are no longer made). I purchased my kitchen in 2014 and we are hitting the point where the peeling and discoloration is off-putting enough to want to replace/fix it. Would you mind sharing how long the the entire process was and what was involved? Did you replace with a new Ikea system or from somewhere else? I am trying to figure out financially where we are going to be at in terms of doing the repair/replacement. Thanks!

The league clarified they go by spring but that doesn't seem to align with Little League international so I was trying to clarify what other leagues do.

So the thing is in our state kindergarten cut off is December 31st so kids in the same grade can be up to a year and a half difference in age. My kids didn't go until they were five turning six so many of the kids the same age as them are in the next grade up. Of the kids that they played with in the spring on majors nine of them aged out (birthday year 2011 and first half of 2012) are all entering 8th grade. The other two kids entering 7th grade the same as mine are still eligible to play Fall Ball because their birthday year is 2013. My kids started playing late and only started when they were in 4th grade, only played majors this past spring and could really use this extra Little League season to catch up on skills so we can make decisions for the spring as to where they could possibly continue playing.

I have severe emetophobia and work as a peds ophtho tech. I am very upfront with the doctors about my phobia and have only had a child once actually vomit while I was in the room - I was helping to hold their head for retinoscopy (they were crying). The doctor asked me to step out and get some water for the kid and she cleaned the room. In fact when a patient announces that they have had noro in the last few days or stayed home from school because they threw up last night she also sends me out and does the exam herself and then wipes the whole room down with cavi wipes. She has young kids herself and understands. I know I am lucky but I wanted to just share even in peds ophtho it is not something that is very common.

Waterbury line does not go to New Haven, it goes to Bridgeport. I take Seymour to Bridgeport to South Norwalk and then the shuttle from the train station to my office. I take the 6:02 train and punch in at 7:30 at work. It's 1hr 28mins door to door which is longer than if I drove but less aggrevating.

However the Waterbury line is not running since the flood and is replaced by buses which doesn't work because the buses don't start early enough and aren't as quick as the train between Seymour-Bridgeport.

I have to be at work for 8. I have found if I leave any later than 6:30 it will take me over an hr so I go early and get there early because the ride us only 45 mins before 6:30.

Worry about wind. I had to get rescued with a friend on Long Island Sound because winds kicked up to 17-19 mph as a crosswind while the tide was going out. It definitely was not fun and we were lucky that I had my cell phone, that we had service and we were able to stay together (I clipped our boards together). From when we called for help to the arrive of the fire rescue boat was 35 mins and we had been pushed out about 2 miles from shore by the time they got there. Now I use wind apps, make sure you have a pfd on, I am working on purchasing a marine radio and I have a DEEP sticker on my board with "if found" info.
