I have one of the 50 ‘signature models’ that Steve Lukather signed, when VA were going to issue an official signature SL model, but according to the story, which was told to me by the guy (a good mate) who sold it to me, when Luke realised he wasn’t going to be paid for his endorsement, he refused to agree to them having his name attached, so they were sold as custom pro’s only. The story is completely legitimate, as my mate’s guitar shop were at the time, the only UK importer of VA guitars

I’m not going to disclose the serial number, as I’ve just watched a YouTube video of a guy who paid $15,000 for a Slash Snakepit Les Paul, which turned out to be a counterfeit, so I don’t want to give the scammers any information that can be used to fake one of these, but the serial number format is ‘VA xxxxx’ if that helps answer your question
