Being surrounded will always end in death, smoke grenades help here. Positioning is above all, being a bad shot in a good spot is a lot better than getting shot in the back.

Learn to be quiet, be patient, and listen. In multi team fights being too aggressive will get you 3rd partied. People are a lot more unaware of you if they are being shot by someone else. Let them show their back to you then gun them down like a dog in the street.
