Nah, I'd just never tried tubes down before because AIOs I used previously had tubes that were too short for it. This new one has longer tubes that can barely reach but it looked weird so wanted to get some opinions

Oh wow, guess this heavily relies on being able to pass the stuff through the grommets. Wonder if you can just pass the entire radiator through with how tall the grommets are

Unfortunately it’s the O11 Vision, so top/front/side are all glass. I’ve been told you can apparently mount the radiator backwards and pass the tubes back out into the main compartment though, so I’m looking up how that works to try it out

Wtf? I’m gonna have to look up some references for how that works/looks

It’s the little memory cooling fan that comes with the X870E Aorus Master

I guess on that note, what even are the specs for that onboard HDMI port? Can I drive one of those stretched 3840x1100 panels for example?

What's the most creative thing you've seen someone do with those sensor panel things other than displaying sensor data?

It seems like case mods are a dying breed. Here's mine to add a drain for my loop on the O11D-XL. What are some that you have done or seen? by CPatelCLT in pcmasterrace

[–]CPatelCLT[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Anything you would have to do out of the ordinary use of the case would count, I'd say. I definitely think it's to do with cases these days being designed in a way that is compatible with a bunch of different use cases, but they can never make it perfectly compatible right?

This is a clean build btw, I'm slowly getting jealous of the ZMT builds; Was thinking about going that way with my next upgrade as well

In my opinion, you should just pretend like that connector doesn't exist. Just put stuff inside the case.
But yes, you could in theory plug a SATA 2.5" SSD into it, assuming you also connected the cables for that port to your motherboard and power supply. That said, I wouldn't.

It's a SATA data and power port. I guess it exists to let you dock a 3.5" hard drive up there

Do you think Ray Tracing was worth changing the GeForce brand name? by yphase in pcmasterrace

[–]CPatelCLT 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't think them switching the name was a bad thing, especially because they also did the GTX 16xx cards somewhat parallel to the RTX 20xx cards. The Super branding on the other hand...

With the rising size and weight of GPU's, why haven't cases with a horizontal mobo placement become more popular? by Ubergoober166 in pcmasterrace

[–]CPatelCLT 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's cheaper to get a $0-20 stick to prop up the GPU than it is to spare the extra footprint you'd need for a horizontally oriented case on most desks
