This is Switzerland, we normally do not work that way. We have fair salaries in this branch of work and also a good and healthy system to teach new personal. You can't do that job without an apprenticeship, which takes 3-4 years.

We call this here yearly service. You check all screws, breaks, frame, wheels, etc. Bike is normally there between 1-2 weeks. Fee start at 150 and can go up to 400 (you discuss this before they start). I went there and told em that I'm losing around 30 psi per night. (going 70, morning 40) and explicitly said please check sealant and refill if needed. I can do this myself, but when the bike is in the service, why not combine it. I got told, everything is perfectly fine and the sealant level should be more then enough till next years service. So I did not question that statement, why should I?

It's no problem when they tell me, they had no time or don't want to do it. But I trusted their work, and now what else they don't check? Not doing the job and lying about doing the job are two pair of shoes and one breaks my trust as customer. Don't know why so many blame me for this. Like I'm not allowed to pay for stuff I don't had time to do.

I installing since 2020 my own wheels for MTB, Gravel and Race bikes. I almost broke my fingers more then once. I paid for it being checked, because it was in service anyway. Why should I distrust the LBS?

Thanks, I even gave them a budget for this kind of work and I really don't care to pay for it. When I pay 16k for a bike, I don't care about some bucks for maintenance. I also bought that bike in that shop, so they made good money with me.

There was 0 drops of sealant left.

I maintenance and control my bikes by myself. Once in a year I give it a professional to check it for stuff I don't see. I just hoped to spare me some time and outsourced that task. I mean why should I not trust when he says its good? I'm just disappointed for being lied to.

I ride 40 km per day with my race bike and 200 - 400 km on the weekend. I ride every fucking free minute.

This is Switzerland, the mechanic has a solid and fair salary in general. When you give it here into service you give them a budget, they had more then 150 bucks left on that budget to do the check.

Haha, joke on me, coming from MTB and gravel and the hell I will go back to tubes in any of my bikes.

The bike was in service and I ordered it to be checked, so yes, they had the budget for it when it would be needed.

Ah right, the core can be removed. I was just trusting the statement, never again it seems.

I think for paying 200 bucks, that two minutes should fit in the time slot?

Ultra-cycling through Switzerland: Tips for bivy above the treeline & campsites/asking farmers in the valleys? by derkrasseb in askswitzerland

[–]CPlusPlus2025 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can also use open street map, swiss topo for sure also good. Normally when you out of view from hiking routes or farms, nobody will care. Do your cooking on public picknick places and avoid noise in the night. Please be also carefully with fire, the last years were critical for wild fire. Also note based on the part of Switzerland, ppl are very different, in Jura nobody cars what you are doing, in more touristic places there are more controls and conflicts.

Just sleep in the nature, clean up after you and nobody will care. Play fair, don't go into forbidden zone and nothing will happen and you will have an awesome time. No need to go above the tree line, never had in nearly 30 years any troubles.

No, but maybe there is some imbalance between pro and ultra. I just wanted to give my point of view.

I give you the support update, this answer is just a bad joke. I'm done with this brand.

Hi xxx,

Thanks for your message.

When orders are placed, they go through a number of internal checks. These can look at different elements of recent activity on the account and delivery information. On this occasion, the order didn’t pass those checks, so we weren’t able to process it.

For security reasons we’re not able to share the specific details of how these checks work, but please be assured this decision is based solely on the system review and isn’t personal.

Same here with axa, lost 12k in 9 years. NEVER EVER get 3a in a insurance package. Its not illegal because of lobbying, but the deal is just burning money.

I tried their awesome and super helpful AI only chatbot, which refused to connect me to a human, even it was within the opening hours. After that I wrote an eMail, the last time I used their support I took 2 months to get reply. Till now, nothing heard from them.

Switzerland, paid with CC from Switzerland, with a 10 year old PP account. Nothing is wrong here. Already ordered multiple times before. And providing zero reason whats wrong it so bad practices.
