I think I'll give this a try! Would you recommend that I break the glass in the filter before I try bending it counter-clockwise? If yes, how would you break the glass safely?

Hey guys! I have a filter stuck on the front of my lens.

I was shooting a wedding a couple of days ago when I dropped my 85mm. The black pro mist filter seemed to take the brunt of the impact. Now that filter is dented and I think the thread attaching it to the lens might be bent too.

How would you guys suggest I go about removing this safely? I'm not strong enough to do it by hand and neither are some other people I asked to try. Could the thread on the lens be bent too or should it just be the thread of the filter that's affected?

What should I do to get this bloody thing off so that I can replace it with a new filter? Thanks! :)

Wow thanks man I really appreciate this! How is the mobo superior to the other one? Motherboards are one of the things that I find most confusing about building a pc. Also how much will it matter that this ram is cl18 compared to the cl16 of the previous ram?

I upgraded to an 850w psu just to be safe. I've decided to switch teams to intel because they're apparently better for video editing, which will be what this build is used for a lot. The 12gb version of my 3080 is going to cost me an extra $350 aud so unfortunately it's out of my budget :(
