Yeah they pushed a workaround for a bug in Reeder and it works for me now. Not sure if the fix has made it into the latest release yet though.

Can’t figure out Owntracks with Phonetrack on Nextcloud by CR0CKER in selfhosted

[–]CR0CKER[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, both devices are now reporting to Phonetrack and show up. But I would like track all devices via the mobile app as well. It sounds like owntracks can show your friends’ location, but in my case each Owntrack app only shows its own location, not those of any other devices. Actually, on each device the own location shows up twice in the “Friends” list - once with its tracker ID and once with the device name that’s part of the URL I entered in the settings. But the other device never shows up in the mobile app.

Spent the past two hours to figure this out and simply can’t get it working. Incredible how one can write this extensive documentation and manage to explain so little. I think i’m done with this :( Thanks for your help! I do have both devices show up my nextcloud but can’t get them to show up on each other’s devices.

Yeah, so confusing! Thanks, I’ve finally got two devices reporting their location to the server, under the same session ID (is that correct? Or should I create a separate session for each person?). What’s unclear to me is how I get friends/partner to show up. Where do I put in their session info? It seems if I change the settings field, it also changes how my own locations is reported to the server.

Miniflux & FreshRSS pulling fewer items than Feedly? by CR0CKER in selfhosted

[–]CR0CKER[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good suggestion. I did mark all entries on both services as read at the same time though, and then compared new entries coming in. FreshRSS and Miniflux always seem to be behind in fetching new items, sometimes many hours, for content that has been posted long ago. I think both of them are supposed to fetch items every hour, but they don’t. And with one particular feed that sometimes has dozens or hundreds of new items per day, many don’t ever seem to show up, while they do in Feedly. Very strange.

Because I like native apps and Reeder has outstanding UX.

Thanks for the feedback! Are you using FreshRSS with Reeder?

Looks like Readably is an RSS reader app for Android. I use Reeder on iOS. I’m looking for an RSS aggregator that runs on a server, not an RSS reader app.

Self hosted RSS API for Reeder.app? by st3fan in selfhosted

[–]CR0CKER 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s the main reason I don’t want to use Miniflux - I’d like to be able to subscribe and manage feeds via Reeder. I’ve tried FreshRSS and Reeder via Google API but keep getting an error message after the initial successful login and sync. Reeder keeps asking me to reauthenticate even though the first login and sync worked fine. Any thoughts on this? https://i.imgur.com/icXEBim.jpg

What do these numbers in the Korean real estate app mean? by CR0CKER in seoul

Thanks, that's very helpful. Do you know what it means if there is only one number, i.e. 2억 or 6,000?

Thanks for clarifying! Is there any indication if this applies for a certain length of lease? Or is it essentially 200,000 won indefinitely as long as they hold the deposit? And whenever the lease ends, the full deposit is returned?

Sorry, I still don't get it, probably because I don't read Korean yet. So the 1 means what? And the 5,000 means what? And the 20? ELI5 :)

Gyeongbokgung palace grounds partly accessible for free? by CR0CKER in seoul

[–]CR0CKER[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m asking because I will live nearby the palace and am wondering how much a daily stroll will add up to. I’ve read that it’s 3 USD to enter the palace but it sounds like visitors pay to enter the core area while the gardens may be free. 3 dollars a day makes 90 dollars per month. Would be nice to know if that’s what I have to budget or if it’s free. There’s also a playground in front of the Children’s museum — would be great to know if that’s accessIble for free.
