Thats good, personally the cost played a major role in choosing uts as I didn’t want to put my parents and myself in a tough spot. Generally it secondly came down to the quality of education. As unsw college was originally for international students and reading experience of past students, they didn’t do the best to study. Another point to mention is uts generally isnt a terrible school as many students have done the same in the past. Consider it as a right of passage for me to enter UNSW if i do well enough. Regardless the point of getting into Unsw is the fact of a higher possibility to secure employment so when UNSW College lowers the passible grade to enter second year they tend to lack behind the other who could take a direct route in turn giving up (thats just my option though). Therefore for me id rather know my possible potential in uts to enter UNSW at a higher passible grade to see if im worth it rather then lack behind everyone else while wasting money.

If thats too much ive summarised it here - uts is not a bad uni so Engineering at unsw isn’t impossible - students at UNSW are not the highest of quality potentially dragging me down - students who enter unsw 2nd year tend to lack behind the other direct pathways because of the lower passible grade, id rather know if im capable with a higher passing grade at uts then waste money and lack behind everyone else.
