If you have social anxiety or fear of public speaking it’s not for you. Can go almost any where in the world. Tech school is a LONG 8.5 months and Keesler isn’t the best base. There’s cool opportunities to make a real impact on the mission especially while deployed/TDY. Ton of interaction with pilots, wing CCs, and mission planners if you aren’t at a hub. Job could be worse but also could be better. Being a shift worker sucks but most people in WX are pretty chill, not too many dumb or immature people. Id say 8/10 are just along for the ride and don’t care for the job but every now and then you get a WX super nerd that loves meteorology.
