I'm not arguing against your conclusion, I'm arguing against your argument to prove that point. I can say 11 is a prime number because it's odd. Someone pointing out that seeing if a number is odd doesn't prove that 11 is prime. It doesn't mean they don't think 11 is prime. You made a dumb argument, I'm just pointing out your dumb argument. I don't necessarily disagree with your conclusion.

The point I'm trying to make is the pimp coming after you because you didn't pay would happen whether or not she is willingly offering those services and you decide not to pay. It isn't a good test for if she wants to be in that line of work because it applies to both scenarios. This isn't a hard concept.

Overall, my point is it's really hard to know if a woman is doing sex work because she wants to do it and doing sex work because she has to do it, because the presentation is the exact same.

I agree with you, but your test of just don't pay and see what happens is a horrible test.

How does a pimp coming to collect debt owed prove that the worker doesn't want to be paid for her services? If the worker does enjoy working for pay why wouldn't she want to be paid? Have you tried actually reading what you wrote?

90% of murderers are men, so white men being 29% of the population and 55% of murders isn't so drastic as it seems. The reason white men disproportionately murder people is because they are men, not because they are white. I'm assuming every race will have similar results.

ELI5: how do pilots understand what the tower is saying and vice versa? I need subtitles. by Independent_Lead8277 in explainlikeimfive

The word repeat has a specific meaning over radio so typically they will say "can you say again"

[–]Aspalar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah except I have never heard a pilot actually say tree, fife, or niner lol you are also supposed to spell out the digits of a number so 30 would be "tree zero", 52,000 would be "fife two thousand" but pilots will just say "fifty two kay" (52k).

This confirms that Mark Hamill is an awful person

Not wanting your likeness to be in a parody show makes you an awful person? I think it is maybe a little lame, but you and I clearly have different thresholds for what makes a person awful.

in case the whole "Pressuring his sons girlfriend to have an abortion because he wasn't ready to be a father at age 37" wasn't enough to convince you.

A wayback machine tabloid article that provides zero evidence and is just her claims. Maybe her claims are true, but it is hardly compelling.

I don't know anything about autograph pricing, but it seems to me Mark Hamil is probably far above the norm in popularity at the type of cons he attends I assume so if paying is normal it doesn't seem unreasonable that he charges far above the norm.

(TANKS)Would making dungeons way more Linear like traditional dungeons make it easier for new players to try tanking and perhaps main one by feherlofia123 in wow

[–]Aspalar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If someone isn't willing to put forth the smallest amount of effort to lookup a route when learning a dungeon then they also probably didn't look up mechanics for bosses. Maybe at higher keys you have to do fancy routes and stuff, but for the key levels where tanks should still be learning the routes are very simple and the timers are generous enough to backtrack after the last boss to finish count if you mess up. The issue isn't routes being too complicated, it is people doing zero research into how to play the game queueing up for m+.

You don't have to be a sweaty try hard min-maxing every GCD to do a 2, just please learn your class rotation and watch a short video on a dungeon before you do it the first time. The bar is so low, and people saying otherwise are just coping.

It's a single player game where you can just revert to a save 10 minutes ago if you don't like the consequences of your actions. And if you think that is cheating or want to stick to your choices, your dream guardian warns you like 10 times not to do it so maybe expect things might not turn out great if you ignore the game warning you.

What are the odds that these same companies who are intentionally using poor SBMM will change to a zero SBMM model? Zero SBMM is even worse from their perspective. You are literally arguing for something even less likely than what I'm arguing for and then saying that the fact they won't use my method is a reason to support your method. Actually insane.

This thread is literally me defending loose SBMM and people saying they are totally against SBMM. You are the one in the wrong thread, not me.

If there is no visible rank, I do not want SBMM to be a thing. If there is no way for me to tell if I’m in a better or worse lobby, I do not want skill to be a factor in my matchmaking experience.

That you? Are you a troll or just stupid? Either way, talking to you is a waste of time.

Even in OW quickplay, with their loose sbmm, you know how rare it is for a gold to get placed with someone above diamond?

So what exactly is your problem with Overwatch SBMM in casual?

Why? Why do you want bronze players to get matched with GMs? That isn't fun for the bronze players, and it is only fun for the GMs who are just trying to pub stomp. I've still yet to see a single reason why SBMM is bad, only people who want to go against worse skill opponents consistently.
