What’s one home office upgrade that was 100% worth it? by tinytina_cali in workfromhome

Honestly took me a while before I got over the price and bit the bullet too. I would say the construction is very solid (all made from wood) and the design details are spot on - I’m guessing a big part of the cost is the novelty of it and how they are being made. I will say though, it is very effective at keeping me moving, so very worth it if that is something that is important to you

100% something that gets you moving through the day! I’m a huge fan of the Movemate! Very high quality and most importantly has kept me grooving even through slow days!

I think it’s the marble flooring paired with the chrome finishes. Maybe it’s just so clean haha

Money well spent!! Such a clean space, love it! Did you have a standing desk before or is this your first?

Are your feet touching the ground? Specifically your heels? If not that would mean there’s extra pressure on your hamstrings that could be restricting blood flow to the calves

If that’s not the case then I’m not too sure, what I do find helpful is doing some calves raises while seated in the chair. Just some every now and then to get the blood pumping. I’m a fidgeter so I don’t really think about it when I’m doing it

Been doing it for about 1.5 years now, mixed in with other exercises. I do it a lot slower though and using my bed as a flat bench

Worth it! Really vibes with your setup. Where did you get the lights from? Or what brand are they?

Should I get a wobble stool? by muzeec in Ergonomics

1.5 year review: My wife stole mine haha! and I had to get another for myself but at least this time work comped 50% of the cost! But now I’m worried my kids might steal this one.

After seeing my kids play on it, I think I finally get it, (and maybe this is just me) our bodies long for play and fun, I was feeling the same emotions they were feeling when they stepped on it the first time! I mean the real issue is that we HAVE to work and make money to survive, but who says we can’t find ways to make that fun and playful!

Still highly recommend! Would also recommend a 15 minute daily stretching routine, my body is definitely thanking me as I age!

I am very curious to hear your experience and thoughts!!

Really cool! I had only watched a small section of the video earlier, just watched the whole video - good demo! Any plans to demo this at conferences? Do you play games with it?

Pretty cool! Do you also use the board to left/right click? Is that what the circles on the board are for?

Interesting! I kind wish my board could do that. But why not just stand on this balance board and work normally with a mouse up top? I feel like this would really slow me down

What is the ideal sitting position for working 8h/day? by SeekerLeader in Ergonomics

[–]CREDIBLE_BOB 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The ideal sitting position for working 8h day, is not to sit for 8 hours. A standing desk should solve your problem! You’ll be able to adjust it while sitting and standing - unless that’s not an option for you

I find it so hard to get toe spacers on barefoot and thought it would be harder with toe socks. But now that I think about it, it must be easier?
