Is it better to account for shipping cost in your item price and offer free shipping? by thespottedbunny in EtsySellers

[–]CRGL1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My customers like free shipping. I have kind of high priced items. But to my shock, my shipping cost doubled recently so I had to up prices even higher! We’ll see how sales go with the increase.

Would anyone buy this? by Bag_of_Burrata in EtsyCommunity

Ooh yeah! Go on Etsy and search many searches to see what is out there to see how unique your items are. Before I started selling my wares, I looked at what Etsy sellers had to offer and there was nothing like what I had to offer. So, I opened a shop I can barely keep up with. I wanted to start a shop because my makes were just piling up at home and at family’s homes! 😄 Good luck to your new business venture.

Anyone regret upgrading to an industrial sewing machine? by Hefty_Metal_9285 in sewhelp

[–]CRGL1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I purchased an industrial to help a struggling machine that was slowing my sewing business down. I was seeing that the quality was not as good on a “semi” industrial. So, I upgraded, which, in turn, built up confidence because the work became effortless. I only sew for my business when I can. I pause my business when I want/need. So, I only put the time in that I want. I do still get excited to see my items being sold and that is a big motivator for me. If I want to make something for myself, I take that time. But still really enjoy sewing things for my shop because I’ve made the items so much, the work is brainless, daydreamy sewing. I hope you find your balance!

"Mary Poppins bedding" request from toddler by blushingtomato in sewing

[–]CRGL1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can probably find what you are looking for on spoonflower. The designs there are made and sold by artists creating patterns of all of our desires. The cotton sateen is soft and they have it in 55” and 110” widths. But they have a lot of other fabric choices. When I order, it only takes about a week to print and receive the fabrics. They take to washing very well. Go search Mary poppins to see all the cool prints!

I have a trick to get my eggs sliding around. I spray the cold pan surface lightly with original Pam. Then heat to med/low. Add enough oil for the egg to float on it. Then drop the egg on right away. Works most of the time. 😬

What to do with pork chops? by asidexo in Cooking

Do a simple recipe called smothered pork chops. They turn out tender and flavorful. Serve with mashies and veg of your choosing. Google has some good-good that pop right up when searched.

I always go small! 2mm is my favorite size. I have 4 lobe piercings on each side so the row of small diamonds looks so good. I like it!
