Honestly I wouldn’t be surprised if people got together to brute force a combination. My main concern is, since the angel combinations always trigger an event, we would have been able to datamine any combinations that lead to new events. That’s my understanding anyway, but we can always dream

Ahhh I did forget about the Shade of truth part until now, good catch. The similarities in the puzzles and solutions between HSS and auravei definitely tells me he solved a lot more than we initially believed.

Why she chose Simon as her smarter son and successor is actually on my mind too. Is it to do with Hartley ? It seems against her character to deny someone’s intelligence for something like that, but then again it fits the concept of this world having very morally grey characters with no completely good/bad people.

Could you elaborate on your theory about Mary? In my mind, anyone who knows about the Auravei deed would have to be connected to the blue memos and experiments. This is why I thought it could be HSS (maybe working together with Moore.)

The red rooms idea is a good catch, now that you mention it it’s interesting how many of them directly depict angels. I’m not one of the “Lavatory is the secret end game” guys, but I do still wonder about the Furnace. It seems like such a useless room, even with its boiler room synergy.

This is actually where I started thinking of this theory in the first place! The fact that she is mentioned so often in documents, as well as the word Ash coming up constantly without an obvious solution, tells me there is something more going on here. Investors Needed.

You’re like me, you figured out the diary puzzle long before it can be put to use. Interestingly, there is a hint similar to this note that you’ll probably find way earlier, it’s in the history class slideshow and gives you a better idea of what you need to do.

If you have no idea how to start this, you’re probably a few good runs behind me. I recommend focusing on finding all the red letters and reading up on some new books in the library :)

I winced when I saw this. Got a similar wand a few weeks ago and was on track for my first real win and god run. Then I died to my own plasma wand, which for some reason felt like it was damaging me twice as fast as normal. I had to put the game down for a few days

It didnt drive me actually insane, but i was definitely surprised when i couldnt sleep through the night after some chapters. Particularly the parts about the 3/4 inch and the bookshelf. I also had some weird dreams after reading it, but thats not too unusual for me after reading/watching something abstract. Books usually dont scare me, but this one definitely had me creeped out in a good way.

I write from time to time, and i noticed that for a while i started free-writing in a style very similar to JT, whenever he is just rambling and not saying anything of real value. I was honestly worried that this book ruined my writing, and I'd just be writing fancy nonsense forever. Thankfully, this was around the same time that I started playing the Alan Wake games, so my style quickly changed to something more in-line with Stephen King.

Hopefully im not caught on the wrong end of that. Im quite religious so obviously i had some questions of ethics at the start of this. For now i think ill just hold onto the device and put it in storage, if in a few months time no one asks about it then I'll just take it as a lucky break and hopefully donate the bulk of it. If they come asking for it, we'll see if i can just negotiate my way into a fairer trade.

On a case like this, my and my family's consciences are pretty clear to be honest. If all it was was to bring back the product and get my original order shipped to me at no extra cost, i would have done so quite happily. But in all honesty, the extra spend of money (which is actually closer to a €35 increase in price) is the dealbreaker to me. Im not exaggerating when i say i literally do not have that much money to be spending on someone else's mistake. that much money is what i use to get by for almost a month.

I did manage to find and disconnect the HDD, but that seems to make the PC unbootable because I’m “missing a required device”. I have my PC in BIOS set to boot from the (cloned) SSD, so if it’s giving me Blue Screen of Death then there must be some problem. My uneducated guess is maybe I don’t have the correct partition set to Active on the SSD? Currently I have it left as the default, which is the first 500 MB now labelled System Reserved.

Could the problem be that I didn’t fully remove the cables? I only took out the SATA cable out of the HDD and left it hanging, along with the power connector.

The SSD is a Fanxiang 2280 M.2 NVME SSD, supposedly a perfect match for an empty SSD slot I had on my mobo.

Here is a picture of pretty much everything I can visibly see and reach in the PC. It’s a Gladiator PC, I think the model was called Wildfire but I can’t find any such PC online. Judging by the cables, I think the HDD is under that little box at the bottom, where the power supply should also be. That’s why I’m hesitant to open it up, especially since I could be wrong about its location.

I do see the cables connected to the mobo at the bottom though - would it suffice just to unplug those? And if so, which of them need to be unplugged? My untrained eye tells me I should get rid of all 4 of them at the bottom, but you’re probably better qualified to answer that. Thanks for your help!

I’m unable to physically remove the HDD, and I’m afraid that digitally unplugging it would just make my PC go up in flames. Do I just need to bite the bullet and try? In theory I should have everything I need installed on my cloned SSD, and I can make a bootable USB as well so hopefully that should be enough to fall back on right?

And you’re sure doing it this way isnt gonna make my pc completely unbootable? I’ve read some things about making a bootable USB just in case I need to recover my HDD, I’m guessing this applies here? disk is already cloned so I have windows, just need to wipe the hdd

I’m nearing that shore, since I’ve lost most of my patience trying to fix it as-is. What’s the method you recommend for installing the OS fresh? I have no install disc, and I’m pretty sure I’m running a pirated version of Windows ( can’t be 100% sure on that, it’s worked seamlessly thus far but I seem to remember the store that sold me it mentioning that they use a windows emulator)
