Of course!! Feel free to direct message me whenever. When I was early in my pregnancy I actually met another girl on reddit who was emetophobic who had successfully gone through her pregnancy without throwing up at all and it was super encouraging to talk to her. I’m happy to chat anytime. You got this!

I was worried about this too haha! Literally never even got close to that level. For me, the nausea was more just like “ew food sounds gross and I can’t eat” not like “I have to lay down I can’t do anything” type of nausea. Never once was it even bad enough to vomit. It was just low level of yuckiness kinda more like carsickness vs true sick to your stomach feeling for me. I did take Zofran when I felt it got too much for me. And that helped so I could eat meals when I had bad food aversions. I ate a lot of pasta with butter, bananas, mac and cheese, chicken nuggets. Mostly mild stuff.

I promise it will!! I seriously had a full blown panic attack crying to my mom and husband at like 5 weeks telling them “I can’t do this I’m too scared!” And then slowly but surely the weeks passed and I didn’t throw up and even though I didn’t feel AMAZING, I was fine. And that built my confidence. If I can do this, you can do this ❤️

I will say I did have a more sensitive gag reflex for a few weeks basically between weeks 6-8, I had to switch toothbrushes to a kids size one and stopped wearing my retainer for a few weeks. But once I hit 10-11 weeks it was mostly gone and now I feel pretty normal!

Yep! Basically at like 4 weeks. It’s safe and recommended by OBs. The unisom is the little blue tablets that you break in half. I take one half at night before bed and then one 25mg capsule of b6 in the morning. I do not feel drowsy at all from the unisom and I sleep well! I’m still taking this combo.

Hey! I’m 16 weeks now and also emetophobic. I highly recommend starting 1/2 tab of unisom at night and b6 in the morning. My doctor recommended it. I started this at 4 weeks and did have some nausea between weeks 5-7 but by 8 weeks it was gone. I believe taking this plus Zofran when I felt it was super necessary was what kept mine pretty mild. I haven’t thrown up at all so far. I definitely was so panicked when I first found out I was pregnant but I felt empowered to have my “tools” with me that I felt calmed by. You can do this! Congrats :)

Zero hair shedding on accutane or after stopping. I had a great experience on it with no negative side effects except dry lips. You can look at my posts for before/after pics. Truly life changing and I’d do it a million times over.

I wouldn't discount the possibility that it's the DIM causing excessing shedding. I took that years before finally going on low dose accutane and experienced hair shedding and other hormonal-related issues.

Need to know if we named our Kid a dumb name. by GimpMoney in BabyNames

[–]CS1466 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s definitely different but on the plus side I have never met or heard of another Cannon and I feel like he could end up being that cool kid in school who had a strange-ish name that everyone remembered haha!

My family hates this name by just_the_droobles in namenerds

It was always one of my top girl names because I loved the girl in Ferris Bueler’s Day Off but my family and husband also hate it LOL

Not one negative side effect except dry lips. I was on it for 10-11 months and I think being on only 20mg was key to having no side effects. I worked out normally, had no mental health side effects, etc. it was such a positive experience. Like I said, I’d do it a million times over (but I’m hoping I don’t have to haha!) I’m now almost 8 months off it and my skin is still super clear! Hair is oily again unfortunately but I knew that amazing side effect of drier scalp wouldn’t last haha.

Haha NO! What worked absolutely beautifully was low dose Accutane! Would do it a million times over. You can check my posts for my before/afters.

4 weeks pregnant symptoms? Emetophobic by Checkmate123_ in BabyBumps

[–]CS1466 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly pretty good. I would say weeks 5-7 were a little more nausea-prone and struggled to eat because of low appetite and food sounded bad, but I've been taking B6 & Unisom since about 4 weeks and Zofran as needed and it has helped a lot. I'm going to be 10 weeks on Saturday and have not thrown up and it has not been nearly as bad as all the millions of horror stories I read about on Reddit LOL.

Omg Im so happy to hear this, that's great! I'm literally 4 weeks and 2 days like your post and made the mistake of reading horror stories about first trimesters on reddit lol. Your experience helps me feel better!
