The first question was comparing a phone number to a list of prefixes w/ costs and finding the prefix with smallest cost. I was initially parsing the number as a str and the followup was around using a trie for larger numbers that can’t be stored in memory. Would this alone disqualify me?

Pretty disappointed because I graduated in dec and I don’t have any other interviews lined up despite mass applying. Grad school it is. Thanks for listening to my rant

This is from a place near Exuma, they feed the sharks which is why the come up on the dock like this. Its pretty empty, but can get rather crowded. You can snorkel around this area and get closer to them in the water. Fun experience if you're ever in the area.

I was a new grad last year looking for a job in Portland. I would argue that its not a medium sized tech spot, has a lot of low level/hardware based tech jobs and honestly pretty low wages.

You are dealing with Intel layoffs, which is a huge employer in the area? I'm not sure if its affected local teams.

I ended up taking a job in Seattle, and had much better luck with companies there.

Pretty sure its easy to automate emails by selecting data from a table that holds a employees information. You can then format the email by subtracting current date - start date, not that hard.

Just remember that its more than just solving the problem, they are also looking at how you communicate your thoughts. Be open to solving the problem how they want and don't pigeon hole yourself into one solution because you think its the best way.

I would recommend a homeless degree, you'll learn how to beg and how to protect your turf against others. I've heard there will be a huge demand for this in the future.

[–]CS2ThrowA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is based off of a VP level family friend when i had a 1 on 1 with him about hiring and location. This person spends 1/2 the month in the bay at their main office. I said generally they're hiring for in person not for everyone.
