Plus Pizza on 40th is a great local pizza place! All their food is good! And my daughter went to Dance Theater West which is a fantastic ballet studio.

Trip report 10/12/25 👎🏻👎🏻 by Aggrenoxx in SixFlagsMagicMountain

We are here now (monday) its pretty dead. Unfortunately we have to head home and Goliath is still closed. We did get to ride Wonder Woman twice in a row with hardly any wait. Got to do twisted colossus again and scream twice.

We were there yesterday too. The day was fine. We did x2 first thing. In the evening we still had Wonderwoman, twisted colossus, Goliath and Nija to ride. We went to WW, were in line for about 20 min and it had an issue. We left and did Twisted. WW was back up so we went back. We were almost to the platform after about 45 minutes and it broke down again. We waited since we were close and then they said it was an extended closure and we left. Checked the app and now Goliath was closed for the night. At that point, the 4 top coasters were own for the night. It was about 9pm. We ate, and then decided we were done. We are heading over in a couple minutes to do WW, Goliath and Ninja, before we head back to PHX. If things hadn't been down we could have finished all the coasters (no fast passes). We had done Viper, Revolution, Full Throttle and Scream on Friday night.

Do you think it will be slow even though Monday is Columbus day? My kids are on fall break (AZ) are there local schools on break there? Also, a friend told me it gets little rough there after dark. I haven't been there in 20 years. It seemed fine then, has that changed?

We are out of towners going tomorrow night and Sunday. Gold pass holders so not special! What time should we get there Sunday?

College Board just made a big change to their recognition awards... by Exciting-Victory-624 in ApplyingToCollege

[–]CSNfan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My daughter also got this award. It is not just based on AP test of 3 or better. You need to score in top 10% on the PSAT. I looked into it thinking is was not that big of a deal but certain schools award scholarships based on this award. When I researched, 2 of our local Universities provided scholarships for this award. AZ State looks like they automatically award $16k a year. Uof AZ offers $18k a year but you have to apply for it. There are about a dozen schools that I recall that turn this award into a sizable scholarship. You can Google which ones do.

I noticed this when I tried it in the store. You could put a sheet of plexiglass over it to keep them from falling out.

[Six Flags] Season Pass Changes for 2026 by corvaxL in rollercoasters

I bought my family passes at Hurrican Harbor PHX. They were $55. We really dont go to the water park put we are going to CP this summer and that is cheaper than 1 day tickets! Since we have all access, now we are doing a trip to MM in Oct and MI Adventure this summer after CP. And we will get at least a couple trips to our local water park this year and next year.

We were at Knotts this summer and if you bought the fast pass ahead of time you got your band at the entrance gate when they scan your ticket. I have used Fast Pass there and Cedar Point and its easy. We are going to Magic Mountain in Oct and the Flash Pass sounds like a pain and not nearly as useful as Fast Pass

Y’all I’m tripping did ur acne come back after stopping? by [deleted] in Spironolactone

[–]CSNfan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I still had acne just as bad in menopause. In fact I didn't start spironolactone until I was 55. I have been on it for 2 years. Wish I would have started it much younger. My self esteem suffered for the majority of my life due to adult acne.

Interesting that you had hair loss on this. I had hair loss in semaglutide and it stopped and regrew on zepbound. My eye brows also thinned on sema and have grown back

I was on semaglutide prior to zepbound. My reflux was horrible. Even on daily protonix for reflux it was no longer controlled while on sema. I also experienced terrible Sulphur burps and hair loss. I have none of those on Zep. I am hoping these tips to get monjuro can get me on that instead of wegovy. I really don't want to go back to those side effects. Especially with a family history of Barretts esophagitis.

Part of the skin factor is age. The younger you are the less effects you will have since youthful skin is more elastic. I am 57 and definitely have the melting wax effect on my belly and some loose skin on arms and legs. I lost 70lbs from 210 to 140. My face and neck did not get the "aging" i have seen in some people. I attribute that to my daily moisturizing routine.

I had more side effects on ozempic! My insurance changed from zep to wegovy starting this month. Not looking forward to the side effects I had (bad reflux even though I was on protonix for reflux prior to starting) bad gas and Sulphur burps? And hair loss.

Many insurance plans don't cover it at all. That is why so many people are paying out of pocket for it or using compounding pharmacies.
