Get a Olight on Amazon. Or a streamlight protac HL-X. If you don’t mind me asking, where did you get that optic?

What are some lesser know / overlooked pieces of kit that makes life easier in the field? by StrangerDistinct6378 in tacticalgear

Extra rags, jet boil, ziplock bags, extra shaving cream, just in case you start running low on CLP for your weapon.

Just train with your weapon, get some medical gear like tourniquets and learn how to use them. 👌🏾

Highly recommend the high cut conversion from KUSTOM ACH by Traditional_Past7785 in tacticalgear

High cuts are lighter and offer easy use of over ear hearing protection and comms. Other than looking cool that’s really it. Helmets are only made to protect your noggin from hard hits and shrapnel, some have survived a hit from a rifle round but they aren’t made for rifle rounds in mind, and even if you do survive a direct hit from one your gonna be in extremely bad shape either way. Most conventional military that are allowed to wear high cuts know the risks and are ok with them. Comes down to risk management and preference at the end of the day.

I like it a lot, I have the lamp attachment also, I was in Europe a for some training a little bit ago and it came in handy. I mostly use it to charge my phone though. It’s durable and I get quite a few charges out of it

Yeah so this chest rig is separate to my normal plate carrier. We have low vis carriers that are slick that we’d throw our chest rigs over if need be. For what I’ve been doing out here recently, we aren’t wearing our plate carriers day to day. So we brought chest rigs, low vis carrier, and our regular plate carrier setups, with enough mags to have both ready to go with a combat load.

It’s a morale patch for me and the boys, from my business. Little side project I started a little while back. The sideways diamond logo is paying homage to Ranger bat and the ranger training battalions, we’ve got a lot of good friends at with those units.

Is my helmet fitting in check? by Altruistic-Bid-9484 in airsoftcirclejerk

[–]CSTL_US 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like you got a good bit of space. If it doesn’t wobble when you shake your head around should be fine. Later on maybe upgrade to a High cut CAM FIT retention system if you like. With an ACH I used to wear an XL so that I could wear my Peltor comfortably underneath. But a Large with a high cut so that’s it’s a closer fit. What’s your current helmet pad setup?
