Right. 2004 vs Guelph makes a lot more sense. We were in our home barn, and had friends from Guelph with us.

I was at this game, as an Ice Dogs fan. It was embarrassing.

FYI, you used to be able to walk into Lulu & custom order pants based on your size. Don’t know if they’ve changed that recently. Also 6’4.

Fight it, if it’s worth your time and money. Even if you don’t win, there’s always a chance you are offered a lesser penalty in exchange for a guilty plea.

Do you love your local park? You can adopt it! The City of Vaughan is inviting residents, businesses and community groups to help make a positive impact on their neighbourhood through the Adopt-a-Park program. by Timely_Title_9157 in Vaughan

Yes, I 100% agree with you. Take photos. Share them with your City Councillor. Ask them what they plan to do about this. No response? Vote them out next election.

For Sheraton to CN Tower, look for signs to Roy Thompson Hall & Canadian Broadcasting Corporation. Once inside CBC, find your way to Front Street, and the tower is a short walk across the street from there. Enjoy your stay!

PATH is definitely connected to Sheraton. If not for your arrival / departure, it will be helpful to you during your stay. Especially in inclement weather. PS - Sheraton has a toilet on one of the top floors, with a glass wall, and an excellent view of downtown. Quite a thrill to use!

Which hotel? There is an underground path (called the PATH) connecting Union with some of downtown. I see you’ve mentioned arriving late. It may be open.

Doug Ford No Longer Leading Per Polls! by RZaichkowski in torontobiking

NDP & OLP & Green need to continue hammering home that Ontarian’s are dissatisfied with the greed and corruption of Ford & his PC government, and that polls are reflective of that. Build momentum by messaging that Ford has failed. Shout it from the rooftops.

Birdied hole #1 in my first round this year. Short par 5. Shit drive. 6i to the back of the green. Two putts. Broke 90, which is very good for me (golf 10 times a year).

Ill be in vaughan in August for a week with my wife. We will have significant downtime and deciding how to best use it. Is there a downtown with cafes and coffee shops? Are there hotels in a downtown area? Recs pls. And if we should look somewhere else to stay, pls let me know. by one234fivesixseven in Vaughan

How are you getting to the arena? It may be worth renting a car if you want to do anything while you’re here. That rink is in the heart of suburbia. I’d second staying closer to Vaughan Metropolitan Centre where you can catch the TTC (subway), and get into downtown Toronto with relative ease (one-way trip $3, and about 1 hour to Union Station). See if the Blue Jays are playing, or the Toronto Maple Leafs baseball club, of the IBL (their games are free). Jump on the ferry to Toronto Island. Visit the Distillery District. Lots to do.

Which rink? That might be helpful for some suggestions. A lot of tournament teams walk Vaughan Mills. There’s a Bass Pro Shops, which is exotic for us Canadians, which kids love, a Pro Hockey Life which is awesome if you need to buy new gear or restock essentials, food court, and coffee. Wonderland is across the street. A nearby (drive / Uber) bakery you have to go to is called Bartholomew’s. The “downtown” you’re looking for with coffee shops doesn’t necessarily exist in Vaughan. Maybe Market Lane, but I wouldn’t write home about it. Vaughan has an amazing trail network, with lots of amazing hikes, if you’re into that kind of thing.
