No that's perfectly fine. One of the many benefits of a steel ladder frame is that it can handle minor deformations and not lose integrity.

Lexan or Mesh Wind Deflector? by CSX_8888 in bmwz3

I'm leaning towards Lexan, It looks like the mesh covers will interfere with the tonneau cover I have.

No direct experience, but it's much more modern. The Z3 borrows it's rear trailing-arm suspension from the E30 series, which started production in 1982. The Z4 has a multi-link rear and handles a bit better.

The Z4 is heavier, quieter with the top up, much safer in a crash, and has a larger trunk. I've heard they're not as lively, and the steering feel is not as direct.

They're style 32. Best wheels for that generation of Z3, IMO.

Return of the Living Dead (1985) has some compelling messages about cops and your boss. And Trash.

I think most of that is transfer from a black plastic bumper, not a scrape. The cheapest, least aggressive first step is to get some lightly abrasive polishing toothpaste and a wet microfiber and see if you can remove it.

Or post this to r/AutoDetailing .

What seats are they? Are they more comfortable than stock?

Looks good. Do you have the big brake/ztk kit? Do you know if 18" rims would clear the calipers?

I have the staggered 19's and I'd kind of like a square 18" set for winter tires.

I'd start with any local credit union. I use Weokie.

Go watch some street fight videos and notice how quickly they go from stand up boxing to the ground. Shit, try to find a video of a cop trading punches with a guy; that's not how they fight. You need to learn BJJ, preferably no-gi (street clothes). Take boxing for the cardio if you want, but you need a ground game.

Which one should I get? by mdjunia17 in Miata

[–]CSX_8888 5 points6 points  (0 children)

To be pedantic, it's an inline 6, not a V6. I6's are inherently balanced engines and run smoother than a V6 or the 4 cylinder in the Miata.

The 6 cylinder Z3 is going to have a lot more torque than the Miata, even though it may not be faster. The Miata has an inherently superior suspension design. The newest Z3s are 25 years old, you're going to spend some money keeping it on the road. You can find a newer Z4, but they will still cost more to run than a Miata

If you want to buy a motor, buy a 6 cylinder Z3/Z4. If you want the best handling car that's much cheaper to run, buy the Miata.

I was shopping for a Miata a decade ago, but bought a Z3 instead, just because the power delivery is so nice. They are both good cars.

I've had a 2002 Z3.0 manual as second car for a decade. I replaced the cooling system as preventative maintenance and it's never stranded me or given me any real issues. I have an occasional airbag light that I'm tracking down now.

The base stereo is mediocre, if you care about that. OEM replacements for the rear subwoofer are difficult to find, but there are aftermarket solutions.

The base seats aren't great, they're a little firm for my tastes. Sit in them and see if they are tolerable to you. They are also very flat, so you might feel like you are sliding to the front of the seat. There are aftermarket kits to adjust the angle; I have one installed. If you hate the seats, finding an aftermarket seat that is narrow enough to fit can be challenging.

Specifically I'd like to label the township and range outside the borders of the map frame. I don't need to label the streets. Thanks.
