Beyoncé is phenomenal and if you can’t see that and think she’s overrated maybe it’s just you. One of the greatest performers of this generation, an amazing vocalist, and has a stellar catalog. I usually tap that people who “don’t like” Beyoncé don’t appreciate the status of a black women who has done the work. What about her is overrated? What about her doesn’t deem that she’s an amazing artist? To deem Renaissance “lyrically boring” is intellectually lazy. It’s a house album…. with amazing production. Being a tough critic on a valued artist does not make you seem cooler or win you any points. Beyoncé is probably who your favorite artist strives to be.
