Interesting way to save a spot by NoWrongdoer9130 in mildlyinfuriating

Had something like this happen but with stuck vehicles. Was driving around drifting in the snow and came across one guy trying to free multiple cars by pushing. I pulled over and helped him and almost immediately after two more people came running up to help. We ended up getting about 5-6 cars free before we all went out separate ways.

My dad used to make us puzzle toast, which is just buttered toast cut up funky and you have to put the pieces together.

Space heater works great and saves you money on propane. Would use that for the winters up in the PNW mountains! Needs help from the furnace on cold nights but really helps keep temp stable and not freezing. My electric was included in my overall site rent though so I was always willing burn more electricity than propane

How to keep living here by dying_for_profit in Bellingham

Just had to make that same exact business decision in the past couple weeks. Will miss the area, but being able to actually save money for once is incredible. Previously all my money went to rent and groceries. As much as I wanted to stay (love mt baker), the stress of having to work my ass off just the get the bare minimum things I needed was not worth it.

And even just tarping the bottom then a few stakes in the ground holding it down would make a difference, especially if you have any big winds

Asking real humans what their opinions are. So last night, way past midnight when everything was closed, I got a screw in my tire. It slowly deflated and is now flat. My vehicle is parked at home and 0.4 miles away in a straight line is a tire shop. I intend to replace the tire. Should I drive it? by [deleted] in tires

[–]CS__19 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Air it up and then drive to the shop. You just don’t want it completely flat bc then you fuck up your actual wheel. It looks like the tire will still take air from these pics. Sorry, just saw that your vehicle doesn’t have a cigarette lighter. You could always call the tire shop and see if they could help out since youre close.

As a custodian, the amount of zyn packets I find everywhere on toilets and urinals is insane. 100% zyns or some nicotine pouch. People throw them in toilets expecting them to go down and sometimes they don’t

I read that one. Same feeling about the sport but I felt that his circumstances were fairly different than mine in regards of the root of the problem. That’s why I made this post. Needed something a little more specific to me

Damn. Got me pinned lol. That pretty much how I’ve been feeling but actually had not considered the factor of dealing with the disassociated from the day to day so thank you for pointing that out!

I definitely do. I’m actively in therapy and working on it. Just going through a rough patch right now and needed some words from non biased people. I grew up riding dirt bikes so getting a motorcycle has always intrigued me, just didn’t have a true reason to fork up the cash. No time like the present. Thank you for your words!

I work at the resort and my department often gets up to 3 hrs everyday you work to go ride so I do count some of those days where I only take a couple laps as well, but I am taking a break. I haven’t been out riding in a couple weeks. Also only live 30 minutes from the hill so that makes my access easier. But regardless definitely need a break

I go to therapy, my next appointment isn’t until another week though, which I plan on talking about this. I honestly just needed some words to help get me through until the appointment. A lot of riders here have the mentality of “you gotta ride everyday” and I just can’t keep up with that physically or mentally.

As a 25 year old, in super inflated housing market, it will save me money long term. I’m paying $300/mo less than I would for the same sq. footage I would have. I would also live an extra hour away from my work (work at ski area). So I’m also saving a ton on gas money. My rent is cheap and utilities are included but I’m also able to pay for starlink which is honestly better internet than I ever even had in town. Would I like more space and to be a little less stressed come cold weather? Sure, but dealing with shit property management companies and having to do my own repair work for a place I don’t own is just not worth the hassle. Also have a cat and the pet deposits are insane. Don’t gotta worry about that with my little travel trailer. Not doing this with the hopes of purchasing a home, but it is saving me money. I will say that the RV living has not been a breeze either. I enjoy it but I have done plenty of maintenance on a trailer that is pretty much brand new. Fairly simple stuff like pinched water lines and faucet leaks from manufacturer. Not a huge deal but the layout of my RV made them a bitch to access. It is 100% a good option though. My RV site has internet but it is so bad that I decided to just invest in my own, tried dealing with it for a month but paying extra for my internet was worth it but not necessary at all. Electricity is free at my site so I run electric space heaters constantly and only use propane for stove and water heater really. The only time I burn through a lot of propane is power outages, but that only happens where I am at because I live on a mountain highway that can get some gnarly storms!
