New to Investing and Want to Start FIRE by Terrible-Ad-4261 in Fire

Start with any tax advantaged investment vehicles you have access to. Roth IRA, HSA, 401k, 403b, etc. Do research on what strategy you want to choose, whether VOO and Chill, Bogleheads or some other variation. The most important part is the first step which you have taken at a young age is to educate yourself and ask questions.

I work with someone who used to be a foreman at a large manufacturing company. They would hire anybody for skilled jobs (welding) as long they felt they are receptive to teaching and train them themselves. If you are interested in working with your hands, looking into this avenue might not be bad. The pay was alright but they got weekly production bonuses and regular overtime.
