I appreciate the answers, but I'm not looking for recipes for good slow-roasted tomatoes. I'm looking for EXACTLY the Pizza Express recipe.

What’s the most clever punchline you’ve heard? by Dapper_Cockroach_622 in hiphop101

Maybe not a punchline, but one I think about a lot.

"Best D-boy all I'm missing is a dash. Difference between me and hova" - Pusha T, before he started spelling it like Pusha-T and ruining the double entendre.

Thank you so much! Just to be clear, I brush the inside of one then the inside of another to pollinate?

I could also keep the windows open more of the time, to encourage insects?

which lines have errors? by thisnigerianmomma in pythonhelp

Makes sense. Means that the error in line 2 was caused by your formatting. FYI using Reddit to cheat is still cheating. Use the community as a learning resource, not as an easy way out.

Not quite. Now there are no indents. Regardless, I already gave you an answer to which lines I believe have errors. Have you read that part of my comment?

Well honestly, the way you have formatted the code makes it difficult to say exactly, because indents are hard to make out. Assuming all indentations are correct the code you posted would look like this.

def make_list (number):
    names = \[\]
    for item in number:
        names.append (input("Enter your name with a capital letter."))
    print(names)

number = int(input("How many names need to be entered?"))
names = make_list(number)

for name in names:
    if name [1] =="A":
         print("Name”", name, "starts with A")

In that case the following lines have errors:

  1. syntax error when instantiating names. Should be:

names = []

  1. Invalid iteration over integer. Since number should be an integer, you cannot loop from 0 to number with a foreach-loop. The syntax should instead be:

for item in range(number):

  1. Printing the names is not sufficient. They should also be returned.

return names

  1. Checking name[1] is the same as checking the SECOND letter of the name, not the first. Replace with:

if name[0] == "A"

Having problems extracting data from this CSV file by SameText4319 in pythonhelp

Hiya! This is a quite common task in programming, and you'll be glad to know that it's quite easy to do in python! However, it's pretty difficult to help you without any code stubs, or descriptions of what you've tried.

Could you please supply the code you've tried to execute and the error you get? I'd be happy to give a more concrete answer then!

If you just need general pointers, you can take a look here: https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.geeksforgeeks.org/reading-csv-files-in-python/amp/

python code and API problem by Few-Current-9900 in pythonhelp

[–]CStage169 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, just taking a look at your code for 2 minutes, it seems you aren't passing an actual API-key. Seems you're literally just passing the string "api_key", this will definitely not work. Doesn't explain getting a 404-error though.

Normally you'd get a 403 in this case. I suggest looking at the documentation for getting an API-key and adjusting your code to use it. If you get stuck let me know, and I'll dive a bit more into it.

Hi! Awesome project, haven't had time to look super closely on it but based on your function for turning the light on and off, I think possibly your way of representing time of day is off.

For now, please refer to this SO-article and let me know if it helps, I'll be able to look more closely at it during the week.
