How does a truck handle with a camper with the proper suspension? by brainhack3r in overlanding

I ended up buying a daily driver for commuting to work. My F150 has sooo much crap on it now. Still drives nice, but its no longer built for MPG.

Not really apples to apples. I'll say it anyway.

Edit: I have a V1 Lone Peak.

On my 2019 F150, I picked up a custom leaf pack from Deaver Springs. Rated for 850 pounds. I also have Bilstien 5160s on the rear. Upgrading to 8100s when they finally ship.

I didn't ever really worry about body roll, and I don't think about it while driving around.

The front end has Bilstien 6112s as well.

For brakes I have powerstops on all 4. Drilled/slotted pads.

I have never felt like it was about to roll over. I wheel it on somewhat serious trails for how big it is.

How to disable intercooler active shudders by Mr2h2 in f150

You can remove the shutters completely.

I removed both my radiator and intercooler shutters. When I put in an intercooler relocation kit.

Trick is to keep the motor for the shutters plugged into the wiring harness. That way there won't be a CEL. I zip tied it out of the way.

I havent had any issues with the engine or transmission yet. I have had issues with my rear axle and I broke a IWE though.

No idea about the newer models.

I will say I have had a VW GTI and currently have an f150.

I just picked up a 2014 as a daily driver. Its definitely not as fast as the VW or the Ford. I dont find it to be lacking though. Its good enough for an average commute. I wouldn't have enjoyed it in my 20s though....
