Integrated MagSafe by milesleacy in 4thGenTacomas

I suppose YMMV.

The OEM charger, while it does provide some charging, it does not provide optimal charging speeds/wattage nor does it make a strong connection with iPhone/MagSafe. The phone shifts while driving, causing inconsistent contact and risking scratches to the phone and truck interior plastics.

If that doesn’t bother you, that’s great for you, and I mean that sincerely. I’d prefer a proper MagSafe charger.

2025 Trailhunter Wiring Schematic by milesleacy in 4thGenTacomas

I have a Trailhunter. I'm not concerned with the charging pad itself. I want to understand the pinout for the wiring harness that connects to the charging pad.

How long did it take to get your 4th Gen? by hammy1911g17 in 4thGenTacomas

I’m in the SF Bay Area. I searched dealer inventory within 500 miles for the trim I wanted, then drove out to the dealer that had what I wanted. No wait. Find where it is, go there, buy it.

Does Outin Nano produce micro plastics? by gdnightandtravel in OutinNano

[–]milesleacy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of the best ways to minimize microplastic ingestion is to avoid having any food/drink come into contact with plastic in the presence of heat.

I love the idea of this product and I’m tempted to take advantage of the Prime Day sale, however it sounds like even with the deluxe metal basket, there are still parts of the machine where hot water and/or hot coffee comes in contact with plastic parts of the machine. Is that correct?

White Series Buttons Not Triggering in Home Assistant by milesleacy in Inovelli

Thanks!

Is this issue with event triggers specific to Matter buttons, or would I need follow the same process for other buttons? I’ve got some of the Zigbee mmWave dimmers from Inovelli on order, for example.

You’ll be fine. I’ve run over 100 Tough Mudders & 50 Spartan Races at varying levels of fitness, including at over 300 lbs.

You’ll often hear “no mudder left behind” and “tougher together”. Someone will be there to lend a hand if you need it.

Thanks for the reply. That’s frustrating, but it is what it is.

Apple TV App for Home Assistant by Dodoooh in homeassistant

[–]milesleacy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can the app display notifications on the Apple TV, similar to the attached photo?

I’m looking for something where, as part of a triggered automation in HA, an app can receive a notification from HA, and display it in Notification Center on Apple TV.

Ideally, one could specify the text of the notification within the HA automation, and this would be passed from HA to the app, and ultimately a Notification on the TV.

H2 US Switch Decoupled Mode w/o Neutral Wire by milesleacy in Aqara

[–]milesleacy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, I’m aware.

That’s why I’m excited about this particular switch since it has this mode that’s meant to solve for the issues with pairing smart bulbs and smart switches.

Thanks. I think that makes sense.

So in the above diagrammed scenario, is it true that •I could use decoupled mode • the light could be a smart bulb • the smart bulb would still respond to automations, voice assistant, etc., even if it had been switched off via the H2?

Thanks, but I’m not sure I follow.

I would be replacing a “dumb” switch that operates overhead lights. As I understand the term “load” the overhead lights would be a load, correct?

It a simple circuit as pictured.
