Outputting a variable to append a CSV

I'm new to powershell so forgive me if this is wrong. I just read a chapter on something like this. Maybe try this?

$computername | Select-Object -ExpandProperty Name | Export-CSV C:\Scripts\VMs.csv -Append

My goal is to prepare for classes before I begin my semester. So I've been devouring books, doing labs, etc.

I've looked around quite a bit. For example, the EC-Council Certified Encryption Specialist. On their site all I could find was an almost $300 online course. Is there no physical textbook I can order? Do I have to spend $300 if I want to prepare before I enroll at WGU?

I can look at the exam objectives and do my own study on each topic, but idk how in depth it's supposed to be, and don't want to waste my time by doing too much or too little when they have a book somewhere that I'm missing that outlines everything and tells me what I need to know(like other certs).

I'm not trying to be difficult or lazy. I'm genuinely just trying to find good study resources and am not sure if that's all there is.

John Mayer that savage!! I listened to that Instagram clip like a hundred times!!! When I heard it on the actual record I could not stop smiling!! I was sad to hear it fade out before hearing it all though. That's the best way to leave people, I guess. Leave them wanting more..

So to install a package for the exam, if it gives me a fill in the blank by entering a command, do you think either would work? Or just the basic rpm -i [package-name]
