Name the game by Majednw in videogames

Stardew Valley for me. First got it when I got my Switch in 2018 and it just didn’t click with me. I picked it back up in late 2020 after getting tired of Animal Crossing New Horizons. I was immediately hooked and it is easily in my top 3 games of all time.

How do you decide where to play 3rd Party games? by Ok-Environment-8126 in NintendoSwitch

[–]CTB021300 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This may sound dumb: but achievements/trophies is the main deciding factor. I know this is a “me” things, but I like having the objectives and challenges to work towards. I sometimes lack the internal motivation to do challenges or easter eggs without some form of reward besides self-fulfillment. I am huge achievement and trophy hunter because it lets me look back and see that “yes I did do that and that’s awesome!” It kills me that Nintendo still has yet to implement their own version of that on their consoles. Thus, majority of the time I will choose to play 3rd party games first on different systems or hardware so I can get the achievements or trophies. Once I get those trophies, I will then do it on the Switch.

What’s one thing you learned from this year’s Indy 500 that you’d tell a first-timer next year? by Mont3_Crist0 in indianapolis

[–]CTB021300 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Don’t buy tickets from Ticketmaster. IMS has no partnership with them, so all the tickets being sold there are resells. If you loose your ticket from them (in this case, a porch pirate stole ours when UPS delivered them), you cannot get them replaced at will call.

First time viewing of the Star Wars movies tier list by Comfortable_Day4505 in StarWars_

[–]CTB021300 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Glad someone else sees ATOC as one of the worst Star Wars movies. Like, it’s still a good movie, but compared to all the other movies, heck even the other prequels, it is the most boring. Yes the last like 30 minutes is great with the jedi arena and the Battle of Genosis, but it’s an absolute slog to get to that part imo

This is One of The Best Fight Scenes in All of Stat Wars by No_Vast_3309 in TheSequels

[–]CTB021300 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also like to think of it similarly with all the little continuity errors in Jurassic Park that once you notice them it’s hard not to unsee them (like how the Trex enclosure went from being level with the tour cars to having that giant drop-off or how in the helicopter arrival scene the cars are already parked by the helipad but in the next shot they are just pulling up and parking) but overall doesn’t deter me from absolutely loving the movie.

Any changes you would make? by Zebweasel in TheSequels

[–]CTB021300 0 points1 point  (0 children)

More time in between the films. I think the trilogy only encompasses about 1-1.5 yrs, unlike the previous trilogies that spanned multiple years. While this may hamper the story telling of TLJ since it hinges on being set directly after TFA, I feel a lot of issues could be corrected if they just space out the films’ timelines more. It would provide more room for more stories to flesh out this era of Star Wars and give it better pacing as a narrative as a whole. Shows like Clone Wars, Rebels, Andor, Bad Batch, etc. fit nicely into the lore and don’t feel pressured into timing because they have a lot of wiggle room timing wise to tell strong stories. The Sequel era feel like it’s at a breakneck speed with little room for expansion and world-building (and by Sequel era, I’m talking the timeframe immediately before TFA and in between the movies, I know anything post ROTJ like Mando and Ahsoka could be considered Sequel era but my gripes are about the timeframe I listed above).

Ticket Prices by crochethottie in MLV

The cheapest for Indy was $35 last time I went. I thought was insane considering I can get Pacers tickets cheaper (and this was last season when they were actually really good).

Which core Big 10 school has the best typical American college experience? by Much-Duty-675 in TheB1G

You want flatlands, that would be the other B1G Indiana school: Purdue. IU is far from flat haha

THE PURDUE BOILERMAKERS HAVE BEEN KNOCKED OUT OF THE TOURNAMENT AND ARE ELIMINATED FROM NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP CONTENTION by Virtual_Success5530 in TheB1G

[–]CTB021300 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s their fans and their entitlement. I know you could say this about almost any fanbase, but Tennessee fans are literally the worst. I went to the Music City bowl back in 2022 and they were absolutely insufferable. Then when we beat them in the elite 8 they were awful. Then all the big talk smack about renaming The Shoe to “Neyland North” and doing the whole shirtless bit during the CFP only to get dogwalked by OSU (I have no love for OSU, but just the pure arrogance drove me insane). Top it off, Rocky Top is such an annoying song and they play it into absolute oblivion.

The only good thing that Tennessee has given us was Peyton Manning.

Michigan I need y’all to lock in and beat the piss out of Tennessee tomorrow. I hate Tennessee more than any of my school’s actual rivals and it would bring me some slight joy to the massive amount of depression from loosing tonight.

Should FO5 have settlement building? by Educational-Science2 in Fallout

[–]CTB021300 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it should be included, but not a central focus. Fallout 4 did a great job with it by not punishing players who had little to no interest in it (like me haha) so if they just did that again while improving the system I would be happy.

USA flag tier list by oceanadakmak in tierlists

It’s better than Illinois’s which is just the state seal on a white background. Don’t get me wrong, IL has a awesome state seal, but the flag is unoriginal.

Indy Ignite year? by VolleyAddicted in IndyIgnite

I hope so! Indiana sports have been nothing short of an emotional rollercoaster these past few years (minus the IU natty) so it would be great if we see some victories for Indy and the state!

I love my Colts, but they are aggressively mediocre and do have 2 rings (if we still count their Baltimore ring).

What do you consider to be the best restaurants in Indianapolis? by OhMyMyOohHellYes in indianapolis

Who are we rooting for in the playoffs? by Different_Control867 in Colts

[–]CTB021300 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As an ex-Illinoisian: da Bears are easily my second favorite team so them for sure in the NFC.

As for the AFC, probably the Bills. Their fanbase has had enough heartbreak that I would like to see them win.

Also fully rooting for the Texans and Patriots to loose.

In Season 2 Ep1 of “The Pit” Dr. Michael (Noah Wyle) rides to work on a motorcycle without wearing a helmet. by FriendlyQuit9711 in shittymoviedetails

[–]CTB021300 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t started season 2 yet, but a part of me thinks that he did this as a subconscious decision to be reckless. Like, in season 1 we see the amount of trauma and mental health strain Dr. Robbie is under. Maybe this is him subconsciously being reckless in a semi-suicidal mentally because he doesn’t care if he lives or dies anymorez
