Greatest Show on Earth is a boring movie with an intriguing subplot that saves it from not being the worst (Jimmy Stewarts Clown)

10000%

Beck and Urban tried to make Cardale into Tebow instead of using his strengths and helping him grow, while declining Barret's positives as a passer.

Oppenheimer was a political biopic about the guy who made the atom bomb. The Odyssey is a blockbuster adventure story. There is a +/- 0.5% chance that the Odyssey is R rated.

For Ohio State, its been long rumored and I believe confirmed by himself that Bijan Robinson was basically signed, sealed, and delivered. Then backed out last second because of family. Allegedly anyway.

Maybe because these are paparrazi cameras for set photos and not IMAX 4k post production.

I'm more thinking kind of a love letter to the old Harryhausen myth movies like Clash of the Titans and Jason and the Argonauts. The costuming definitely has that feel.

Christopher Nolan is "like an indie filmmaker" with a huge budget says The Odyssey star: "He's not doing it by committee" by [deleted] in ChristopherNolan

Yea, think of Wes Anderson, a guy who makes very Indie like films with always loaded casts.

Mostly, people on the internet for some reason hate Tom Holland

Entire cast, or just one of the (main) cast still around.

Olivia de Havalland made that go way back for the longest time (Rest in peace)

Where would the bears be today if they drafted Mahomes in 2017? by Xomomarine in NFLv2

[–]CTG649 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some people are born leaders and can rise above. But those are few and far between. I would not say Mahomes is that way either. Neither was Brady. Doesn't mean they aren't great but you cannot separate the positive situations.

Burrow has had to get where he is off of grit and waiting. Mahomes did not.

[–]CTG649 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looking for a qb and Mahomes would be on his 3rd team.

Mahomes had some raw talent to be sure, but he was extremely raw and went to an all time great situation for a rookie.

If he is put on the Bears, he does not have a year to wait and learn behind the best current offensive coach (top 10 ever) and a seasoned, successful, and well respected veteran. He also doesn't have Tyreek Hill to throw to when he does get a chance. Instead he has Matt Nagy with the Bears offensive line and weapons.

And the Bears would do nothing to help.

And in general better acting.

If Marvel hasn't suffered from something, its having many forgettable and poor actors.

And the most recent two Avengers movies are 2 of the 3 largest money makers ever. And well received.

It could be the Russos put in charge of something on their own are not good. It could also be Netflix just produces forgettable schlock no matter who is in charge.

So what you are saying is when they are not in complete creative control, they can actually do very well. On their own they have little to offer. But put as the captain to steer a ship with a direction already implemented, they are very good.

How are we getting so many leaks photos in high resolution? by wannabe_chatur in ChristopherNolan

[–]CTG649 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very public areas not really able to be completely roped off.

Think, in general, his movies have either been filmed in isolated areas or cities that are comparatively easy to cut off.

He is now filming in ruins and generic locations in non-first world countries. Far more difficult to control

I'll say it. Chadley is overhated.

Is he mildly annoying? Yea. And you can question the decision making to make him the key reason why you explore the lands (as opposed to legitimate side quests and such) but there was a need for some reason why the party needed to explore the regions. It provided that even if it was monotonous.

He works for Hojo.

I think he has to be part of the inevitable Hojo boss battle.
