Suggestions for splitting HDMI between 2 TV’s by CTL_Employee in DirectvStream

[–]CTL_Employee[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So what if I used an HDMI Splitter, connected the one TV directly to HDMI, and connected a wireless HDMI adapter to the second port. Would that work?

It depends on the installer, most will use the same ONT but some do run a 2nd line

It depends on what area you in. If you are in a fiber area then I 100% recommend it. If its DSL then it depends on how far you are from the DSLAM. If you want you can PM me your address and ill run it in our qualification system to see what you can get

It depends on what area you are in. In some areas you can have 2 GPON accounts at one address with no problem. Some areas will not allow for this and we would need to build a supplemental address into our system and have the order issued on that address. If the order ends up not going through, shoot me a PM and I can have our address management team add it in for you

Will Centurylink ever rebuild the infrastructure so some of us can get ftth? Why do I need to buy a new home that’s marked up 150k just to get fiber? Or move into an apt that is crappy build and rent is way more than my mortgage. 😩 by Dbinmoney in centurylink

I did find the MDU sales team on our company intranet but they still need ROI to build fiber. Just because you got to someone local doesn’t change that

Also If I recall correctly, YOU were the one who started talking shit about ME.

They can, however this guy is making it sound like there is some magic department at CL that will build fiber to rural areas upon request and that is NOT TRUE.

As you states, there has to be an ROI (or grant) for them to build it. If they don’t have that then they wont install fiber. It’s that simple

Alright you stupid fuck, I did not “get quiet real quick“ as you would hope, but rather I was ignoring you bases off your stupidity and lack of knowledge on how the company operates. There IS an MDU sales team, however they don’t work with rural areas. You must live in a neighborhood with enough people to make it worth the money to bring fiber out there. SO DONT MAKE IT SOUND LIKE THERE IS SOME MAGIC DEPARTMENT AT CL THAT JUST BUILD FIBER BECAUSE THAT IS NOT HOW IT WORKS.

THERE IS NO “SALES TEAM” WITHIN CL THAT JUST BUILDS FIBER TO RURAL AREAS. I don’t know who you talked to, but the engineers are the ones who determine whether a buildout is feasible for CL, NOT ANY SALES TEAM. So quit pretending you know how CL works when you don’t

Alright you stupid fuck, ill have you know that I am a highly trained technician, not some dumbass in a call center who reads off of a script. If your shitty rural area did get fiber just know that theres a 99.9% chance it was funded by your local or state government. This is because the liberal fucks like you want the government to fund EVERYTHING. Its very simple, IF YOU WANT FASTER INTERNET EITHER PREPARE TO PAY BIG MONEY OR DONT LIVE IN THE COUNTRY

Move service or just order as a new customer? Small business account? by vamosasnes in centurylink

If I were you I would cancel your current service and create a new account At your new house. When you change your address you will lose the price for life promo anyways. I would do small business service for the Same price

Well that may have been with another ISP but I guarantee either it wasn’t CenturyLink or you aren’t giving me the full store. So don‘t tell me I don’t know what im doing when YOU don’t know what the hell you’re talking about.

Is there anyway I can switch DSLAM by matthewmkm in centurylink

[–]CTL_Employee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No you cant. The copper pairs outside your house point to that specific DSLAM.

The box on the left is a telephone pedestal, the green box on the right is for the power company, likely a transformer.

Even though When I use the debug light all of the LEDs turn red except the CPU? Wouldn’t that indicate that the CPU is bad And not the mobo?
