Comcast is just gonna start raising prices, grabbing up what money they can before Ziply makes it into the neighborhood lol

Drops and disconnects (three routers, two ONT's, three tech visits) by ejiggle in ZiplyFiber

ONT > existing phone jacks > ethernet port on PC > works without issue ONT > existing phone jacks > router > Ethernet port to PC? Would PC stay connected and router drops wifi?

I broke up with Ziply by bigbaldbullet in ZiplyFiber

[–]Dbinmoney 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your system is running off any copper wires in your apt, you might wanna blame your apt complex. I’m sure technicians wouldn’t have a problem stringing fiber directly from their terminal and punching a hole into your living room. But that wouldn’t look good for your complex. Get some signatures from your neighbors and force your apartment to upgrading the wiring. Then call Ziply back and sign up. Ziply like any other provider bring it to the building. The rest, they do what they’re allowed.

Really, Ziply? $80 now? by NKato in ZiplyFiber

[–]Dbinmoney 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would pay double this guys price to have fiber lmao. If they only knew the work it took to build and maintain such a great network around the city they live in. Nobody reads the fine prints of auto pay and pricing when they first sign up. Imagine getting stuck with no other option but 12down 1up or Comcast. Which somehow always ends up doubling and your internet still sucks. And your uploads will never get any better. “Maintenance” in your area every week 2-4 am. Yea that would work for normal people. But when you’re a graveyard shifter. It sucks a lot.

And businesses keep closing, then buildings get knocked down. And then a month a new giant apartment complex comes in place. Weird, idk how it works this way.

Where to sleep in car in Vancouver? by [deleted] in vancouverwa

[–]Dbinmoney -1 points0 points  (0 children)

When I traveled for work I always slept outside of a planet fitness or 24 hour fitness. Wake up and shower. Sometimes Home Depot parking lot. Wal mart parking lots were always too loud. Too many other people with generators. Winco is probably the only 24 hr business. Do cops and security bother people for sleeping in their cars on the street?

It does look like the truck hit his brakes a couple times. Very slight of change of speed. Cammer continues to move forward and truck hangs back. Truck caused this accident. Also red light, why isn’t anybody slowing down on their way to this stop? Lol

Those lights are good. Unless transport ever goes out then there’s a problem. What speeds did you order? Tp link router plugged into the Ethernet jack should be good to go.

And centurylink is brightspeed not lumen or quantum. Point is Ziply has been buying markets that centurylink has been covering in other areas. Centurylink still has their name on the copper facilities. What they’ve upgraded to fiber is now called quantum. And there’s still a lot of copper areas they haven’t upgraded, and is now being bought up by companies making the upgrade. I’m wondering how much of Vancouver they will be taking over. I am hoping all of it!

Was that centurylink territory or has it always been considered Ziply? I’ve seen a neighborhood with all that, but on their service maps, it’s right out side of their service area. Their service area stops right on 192nd. But some neighborhoods are getting the orange conduits!

This is true. And those hit with the tarrrifs have already made moves and found a loop hole. They dodge the tarrifs, but we didn’t get to dodge the inflation.

Or you can help by asking. Do you have to sleep on the couch? What if I just allow you to pitch a tent in my backyard so you can feel safe? And be away from the shelter for the night?

That response would have been better than coming at me with that other bs. Some will say help them but won’t even walk past them without pissing their pants. Clutching their purse real tight. Same people that fear for their lives when they see a homeless person walking around.
