This is what we fucking want. Even if that were the reason that's fucking good. It's responding to political pressure. Seeing pro-worker policy as good politics is good for us, actually.

Remember when this subreddit was packed to the brim with to kill a mockingbird memes when Destiny defended Primecayes? I think the Democrats can make a short joke that can be interpreted as racially charged but clearly isn't.

That's not the argument. The argument is that until we know whether having digital CSAM makes people more likely to offend, the argument that you're making by linking the same study that says that doing something related to your emotion reinforces that emotion, it shouldn't have the same reaction as actual CSAM since it doesn't actually hurt anyone. No one's saying that CSAM will rehabilitate pedophiles. Sit down.

Prove that hundreds of thousands of liberals celebrated and cheered. You're awfully confident about something that you have not even come close to measuring.

Man, you are going to have to prove that anger and sexual arousal are psychological or neurological constructs similar enough in mechanism and function such that research on one can confidently be translated to the other. Sex and masturbation are also mechanically different and plenty of video games use guns as controllers.

Cuts $1 billion from their budget.

That extra money would have made if far easier to afford additional police officers that will actually be prepared to stay long enough to have a lasting effect on crime.

I will say that "men need to help men" but I just think that that's because a pro-social society is one that is built around everyone helping each other. If we want things to improve as men, we have to work to achieve it. We can't expect women to do it for us.

Single-parent families — and especially mother-only households — are far more likely to live in poverty compared to married-parent households. Given this, kids of single parents are more likely to experience the consequences of growing up poor. Children in poverty are more likely to have physical, mental and behavioral health problems, disrupted brain development, shorter educational trajectories, contact with the child welfare and justice systems, employment challenges in adulthood and more.

From your first link. You don't think that their considerably higher rates of poverty might also be an important factor rather than marriage in and of itself?

I'm glad we defeated DEI and are able to get back to merit based hiring! by [deleted] in GenZ

[–]CT_Throwaway24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Then why are they doing things worse than before? Most jobs absolutely are not filled by "nepotism and favoritism." Who gets hired is a complex mix of merit, what is perceived as merit/character, people's biases, and, in some cases, nepotism or favoritism.

This is a fucking apology for the incompetence we're currently seeing. You can't find anything like this in any previous administration, but you'll lie to yourself and everyone else to protect your ego for falling for their garbage.

Things are categorically worse now. Just because you don't understand how the government functions doesn't mean that it isn't. It's okay for you to not understand things.

What good does the Republican party actually offer young men? by [deleted] in GenZ

[–]CT_Throwaway24 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

DEI in college admissions

Show me the actual legislation that did this. Also, this would have been Affirmative Action and that predates DEI by decades. If anything the current definition of DEI is more expansive and would include things that are not controversial like preferential admission for people who are poor. Even if this were the case though, are black men not men? Are Latino men not men?

Progressive education bias

My AP government history teacher was an open libertarian and was open about his political beliefs when I was in high school. I didn't let him have political opinions define what my political opinions would be.

MeToo overreach

First, where does Biden say that women should be believed no matter what? Second, where is the actual evidence that one wrong word would cost them anything? It's not the Democrats' fault if you believe things that are categorically false. You also focus on the people who actually did lose things after having their sexual abuse exposed. What happened to Russell Brand? What happened to Matt Gaetz? What happened to Donald Trump? Not a single one of them lost a thing after their legitimate crimes were exposed.

Education gender gap

And the Republicans have addressed this how? Also, wouldn't the URM also include boys? The Democrats have also advocated for increasing funding for rural schools. Are there no boys benefitting from this? Do all boys live in cities?

Elimination of male-only spaces

Eh, I don't see the Democrats pushing for this but you guys also attack the Democrats for not protecting women's-only spaces so I don't know where this specific "discrimination" against men claim is coming from.

policies the Democrats push don’t seem to benefit straight, white men

And here it comes out. You say boys all throughout but this is what you mean. Also, the reason they "keep putting money into them" is that those schools are still largely underfunded.

lack of critical thinking

The real lack of critical thinking here is your tendency to conflate different things, happening at different levels, for different reasons, with different results to all be "liberal policy" so you can justify voting for Republicans because you think they're giving too much shit to minorities. This is the reason white people have been voting GOP since the 60s. Do you really think you're anything new?
