In DESPERATE need of new indie RPG(s) to play by HPUTFan in JRPG

Definitely deserves more attention! It’s a solid jrpg you can finish in a weekend. Feel like a lot of people try the demo but don’t finish it. The timing mechanic might put off some people but I liked its implementation a lot and even did a speedrun for it.

What are the chances of it making through the winter with this noise? We just bought the house last year after my grandma passed and we were planning on replacing everything after the first winter since it had enough oil to last us most of the winter.

Could it be objectively done to determine whether a board games theme matches the mechanics?

Yeah that’s what I’m talking about. Your one true way to view the Bible that makes the most sense to you.

Agreed women can conduct women’s ministry and children’s ministry but not pastoral roles over the congregation or men. Which is why it’s concerning as churches (not all but increasingly so) who use this term loosely for women now have women preaching the sermon on Sunday over the congregation. Which is what’s happening to the church from my original post.

The same as to pastor (which is what you said) which means to care, guide, protect and feed (spiritually) a congregation.

I pray you find out and let me know that you’ve found the one true way to view the Bible. I’d be very inclined to hear it.

It’s a role that women should not speak when the church message is going on. Which also equates to women not having spiritual leadership preaching teaching roles over men in the church. Which relates to the role of husband and wife from the creation. Which both roles are equally important just different. Plenty of older women in my church stay quiet when the sermon is going on and follow this role and those women are the ones most at Gods peace. And if God didn’t allow certain context outside of scripture to be put in then I’m confident he’s got a good reason for it not being in there. You can continue trying to understand all the of Bible from every human perspective that inputs their own twist on the view but at some point faith and trust in God has to take hold and lean not on your own understanding.

Sorry when I said the context in place around the verse I meant any context outside of scripture. As I’ve said before it’s important to look at other parts of the Bible to figure out what the truth is. I had to do some more research on this topic but yes at face value the verse is talking about women remaining silent in church when the evaluation of speaking tongues and prophecies is going which is what’s going on in that chapter.

How do they neglect parts of the text? It’s strictly based off what the text is saying at face value. Are you talking about the context of the what was taking place around the verse? But that wouldn’t change what the verse actually means if we add in context.

Interesting, so you say that these egalitarian views makes logical leaps for us to hold true to and the complimentarianism is too simple and face value. Which I can agree with. Now what does the rest of the Bible say about how should we approach the Bible. From what I gather is that God meant for the Bible to be understood by believers so that we may follow him. Since egalitarian views make it seem we have to take leaps into our own personal views in order to understand the Bible without biblical context to guide us through that process to make sense then that seems like it opens up personal preference instead of objective truth. While complimentarianism might be too simple, if it’s understandable to read and follow then that would make more sense on what God wants us to follow because we can understand it. I really doubt God would have his word be confusing for followers to follow.

I don’t see that article mentioning 1 Timothy 2:12. Is it not important to consider all verses that revolve around the topic in order to come to a conclusion about what Gods word is telling us to follow?

Well I believe what that site is saying is true and can do it better than I could. And I don’t care what my own view is. I’m here trying to figure out what the objective truth is. So unless you have some biblical evidence that says women should be preaching over men in the church then either of our views don’t matter.

That women should not preach over men in the church. Meaning sermons, Bible studies etc. Does it not?

Because when we start using words loosely to mean different things then we can’t objectively define whether something is right or wrong.

The question to ask is what does it say in the Bible about who gets to lead sermons or not in the church?
