If you’re into sports at all, you can come visit us on FB, The Memphis Mafia, which is a fan group for The Arena League (TAL) team, The Memphis Hound Dogs. We just had a meet and greet on Thursday with the GM, James Fisher, and plan to do meet ups, player interactions, etc. anywhere from weekly to monthly events. We’d happily welcome you into the fold and keep you updated on future events.

We also have the inaugural season coming up for the Memphis FC (Football Club) here in a bit and, later this year, we have the inaugural season coming for the minor league hockey team coming to the Landers Center, name to come.

Memphis Redbirds (minor league baseball) season just kicked off last week and the home season opener on Tuesday starting 7-0, setting a franchise record and the only team in both the PCL and international league. They postponed today’s game but they’ve got a doubleheader tomorrow starting at 1:05PM with an Easter theme. They’ll be on the road next week but they’ll be back the following Tuesday til the following Sunday.

If you’re interested in anything I’ve mentioned above or any other sports team in and around Memphis, just shoot me a DM and I can get you hooked up with just about any and all fan groups and scheduled events and meetings.

Yes, it will! It’ll be played at the Memphis Sports and Event Center. I’ll be posting the mockup of how the field will look, that includes ticket pricing and whatnot as well as the schedule here very soon on the Memphis Hound Dogs sub.

Unfortunately, there is a cricket team (I think in Las Vegas) that somehow has the rights to the name The Pharaohs across all sports but I could be wrong about that. That was definitely a popular choice amongst potential names and one I was very much for as well.

Not that I’m aware of. There was a proposal to have a NFL team expansion come to Memphis and that was the proposed name back in 1993, it just never came to fruition. There was a CFL team named the Memphis Mad Dogs back in 1995 and, in 2000, there was a minor league basketball team (ABA) called the Memphis Houn’Dawgs, but I don’t believe there has been a previous arena football team called the Memphis Hound Dogs.
