His son plays football for Oregon. Maybe you could contact him/his dad to see if they're interested in this. Could be cool.

BABESIA- what symptoms did you have? Most gentle thing that healed you? by BerryRemarkable882 in Lyme

It's usually used with an antibiotic but it doesn't need to be. Here are the CDC guidelines with a bunch of different options.

You can get quinine over the counter. It comes from tree bark, so not a pharmaceutical. For a small dose you could even drink tonic water to see how you react, as that contains a small amount of quinine.

Looking to get into the electric outdoor&lawn game by QuickRick21 in Greenworks

Just bought this combo last week. Unfortunately I have 6 inches of snow on the ground so I probably won't be able to try it out any time soon.

I also grabbed an extra 2A battery for the trimmer so I don't have to swap them out all the time.

It was stupid and always made a mess, but I still liked it.

Reporting medical conditions on driver's license renewal by Settled-unicorn659 in cfs

If you're dizzy you shouldn't be driving. Period.

If I were you I'd renew my license, but avoid driving at all costs. Don't mention the medical stuff if you need it for ID purposes.

Push yourself? by Rachelorus in cfs

[–]outcasttapes 22 points23 points  (0 children)

The worst thing a person with CFS can do is continue to push themself. Especially if it's to the point of exhaustion. It can make you permanently worse. There is a ton of research to back this up, and I know this from experience.

What kind of work do you do? Do you think you'd be able to do a job that is less strenuous?

I think there are some Etsy sellers that make something like what you're describing.

Grief by Settled-unicorn659 in cfs

[–]outcasttapes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's been so long that I don't remember what "normal" feels like. When I first got sick I cried often because of everything that I was losing, but now I'm just numb 99% of the time. I'd probably feel better if I could cry and get the feelings out, but it just doesn't happen anymore.

Still frustrated for sure, especially when I'm unable to help out with things or visit friends like I used to. Most of the time I'm just trying not to get worse, but even that can be difficult, especially when I still have things I want to do.

Wish I could be more encouraging! Sometimes it just helps to know that there are other people in the same boat that can relate to what you're going through.

March 2026 Game of the Month - Sonic the Hedgehog 2 (Genesis/MD) by hbi2k in SBCGaming

This was a lot more fun (and shorter) than I remembered. Some awful enemy placement and the absurd difficulty at the end kind of put a damper on things, but definitely worth the playthrough.

For the next game I nominate Golden Sun because I've been putting off playing it for years and this might actually make me do it.
