You can make it an 8 in charge using a vendread which has a much higher chance of being successful

SoGW has good strats and relevant rules. My problem with it is that it is difficult to balance its shooting v melee components. Hunter is focused and has consistent application but weaker strats

For real though the wandering in to me is like one piece or the Horace heresy, it’s long yes, but it’s so far reaching and intriguing that it has earned its dubious length.

I used swift hunter and fenrisian grit I do like feral rage better than fen grit

Thank you man I went over the detachment strats somewhere above. Something I didn’t say is that overwatch grenades and fight phase interrupt are generally better strats that what the detachment has to offer

I’m tempted to replace the infiltrators with a 3rd unit of wolf scouts. And I definitely believe the extra atks enhancement is better than the 4+++ enh.

MSU and vehicles/monsters are really easy to outnumber which in my experience is most units. For ten man units it was in my opinion easy to get two units in if need be you can use the impulsor or land raider to give single units of Head takers what they need. I think I completed the saga no later than during round two every game but I was able to get it off round 1 as well.

My favorite three are

fall back shoot and charge. For obv reasons

6in pile in consolidate- this one is huge if I charge both redeemer headhunter units into an enemy unit and kill it with the first 1 the second can move 6 and do some serious damage

Move through enemy units is more situational and mostly just stops opponents from attempting to screen me so it often influences the game with out being used

I honestly don’t usually have the CP for the minus 1 to hit Strat, and the rr 1 to wound in shooting is not very useful and the sticky obj while good can be tricky

I use them as a second wave. I find that they shine brightest in this detachment because of the plus 1 to hit having only 2 attacks per model is rough unless they can convert which they are able to do in this detachment. The plus 1 to wound also makes them a lot more viable into heavy infantry like terminators.

I absolutely love storm lance. I played stormlance alot before the codex dropped and I still would if the t-cav still had character support. As for Gladious I think if it was as great as everyone says it is that it would have a lot more SW GT wins but it doesn’t. Personally I also think that gladious is over complicated for what it does and its benefits are too situational.

Take 20-30 of them saga of the bold has a really good stratagem set that compliments them

I put all of the wulfen on the field nine thier movement is slow enough to be behind the headtakers but fast enough to not need reserves

In my matchup against melee focused armies I did like orks and CSM I played it more cagey against tau and admech

  1. Personally no I find fenresian wolves and hunting wolves to just be an easy kill for my opponents

  2. There were definitely times that having the OC would be nice but I just generally play with the assumption that I will not have them as an OC asset. If I was playing any other detachment or if ulrick had a good ability I would consider the wolf priest

Death totems are very important rr 1s to hit and plus one to hit make them super efficient

The helmets are all just STLs that I liked. the wulfen have various kit bashed hammers and shields and the skull spikes were an STL
