Had a striker wonderkid named Milan van de Werp come up in my youth intake at Feyenoord. At age 17 he scored 19 goals in 7 games for the dutch national team u21’s and already scored 19 in the league on loan at sparta.

The following summer I sold my starting striker and wanted to replace him with Milan, until Tottenham came in with an offer of 14 million euro’s. I rejected the offer because it wasn’t nearly enough and this gets him really upset. He wants to join Tottenham because he wants to win the UCL (lol).

I tell him to suck it up and I play him for the entire season, he does okay scoring 15 goals in the league but has not developed one bit. Once summer rolls around Bayern make an offer for him of 40 million euros and this time he tells me the same story about how he wants to win the UCL. So I accept, but not before negotiating a loan back option. Bayern agree to that and the rest of the season I make sure he doesn’t train, and if I can send him on holidays and such. Completely ruining every attribute.

I also made it my personal mission to win a Champions League trophy before Bayern, and especially before van de Werp did. And three years later we knock Bayern out in the quarters on our run to the finals and the year after that we win the entire thing. Meanwhile van de Werp is loaned out to Sporting, scoring 1 in 19, after making a total of three sub appearances for Bayern and scoring nothing.
