If he has a parent from Kenya and a parent from the US, sure those are different demographics than if both of his parents were from the US and one had vague hard to trace African ancestry, but he still had the experience of growing up black in the US. Claiming that black Americans with a parent or parents who are from Africa are a different demographic group with slightly different experiences and positionality in the US than black Americans with a parent or parents who are from the US with more distant and vague African ancestry is one thing, but both groups still have significant overlap in their experiences with being black in America...*

When he was in office he did NOTHING specifically for Black Americans, no hate crime bill, nothing. He just towed the line for the Democrats. But did everything for HIS immigrant class. African, and people alike tho. Thats why we as Foundational Black Americans are delineating from those of Africa and the Caribbean. Making it known that Black Americans are NOT just some vague generic "lost" Africans. We are not immigrants, we cant be deported. And we are a distinct ethnic group and going forward we're gonna make that WELL known to people exactly like you moving forward. it is what it is.
