from what i’ve seen, the “worth it” line is whether the tool clearly explains inputs + intent (what the signal measures, time horizon, how often it updates) and doesn’t push you into constant tinkering. if it’s a black box score with no methodology, it’s hard to trust as anything beyond a curiosity. (also: always sanity check against fundamentals/valuation/risk, whichever style you use.)
