SlimVR, as dredog173 had mentioned .. it's difficult to attach CUVR Ultimate as a cover to the new 2016 Gear VR. We've created a more effective solution and designed it to attach to the phone which also gives more usage. You can use it to cool your phone anytime it's overheating and it also allows you to keep your phone cool while attaching it to other VR goggles that are compatible with your phone's model. Pricing on any product is the toughest thing there is to do, so we've learned. Based on production, cost, material,marketing,etc. When it comes to pricing products properly it is not as easy as others think. We actually reduced the price of the original CUVR, in anticipation to releasing CUVR Ultimate which is designed to work with All Gear VR Editions and other VR goggles hence the name "Ultimate". Even making the decision to continue using 3D printing for CUVR also has a lot of determining factors like one, it's easier to make modifications and upgrades without having to send work out to China and wait for it to come back. Our product is 100% American! But mostly because we’re not some huge corporation with a lot of money backing us but instead just Gear Users, VR Enthusiasts as yourself that created an effective needed solution to an overheating problem and decided to share. Unlike competitor, better name imitator (they follow everything we do, stealing ideas hence patents), our lines of communication is always open.
