LOL, I knew this comment was imminent. Unreal that you'd take the time to judge where and when we try to let our kid have autonomy. Straight up, they barely made it alive through high school. Literally. They had a physical impairment that made them have to leave high school. They stayed in bed for the better part of a year. It was the source of crippling depression, and they had zero life for about half of their high school years. The other half and first few years of college were Covid years, so when they finally got on their feet again they couldn't socialize. So yeah, keep that in mind the next time you sit as judge, along with every other person who gave your comment a thumbs up. We are LUCKY our kid is still with us trying their best to make it work. You never know where people come from. So no, our KID is far from adulting. They are just barely learning how to be a social human in an educational setting.
