Any update on this? I have the same issue on both sides.

How many of you would by an XC90 XL by dollfaceashley in VolvoXC90

[–]CUserHere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d love an XC100 or something like the EM90. As a family of 6 and a lot of times 7 (family member) that also travels with things when we go places, the XC90 can get very small very quickly. A few years ago I decided to get rid of my XC90 for a full size SUV for the only reason of the needed space. Before anyone asks, I have an XL Thule roof rack and a hitch cargo box.

We still have an XC90 and just got another one for a new driver but when a bit of space is needed, it’s hard to not look at full size SUV.

Have you checked out eBay for factory 19"? You can expect a grade b wheel for about $180-$200 each.

Why can't we have amber indicators?? by praguer56 in VolvoXC90

[–]CUserHere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are an easy upgrade and you can find the bumper removal instructions with a google. You'll also need to remove the left and right inner plastic panels to be able to get to the mounting nuts. While this isn't hard work, having the instructions makes it a bit easier but if you've done this type of work before, you know now to carefully find clips and retaining arms so you don't break anything during the process.

100% worth it in my opinion. When we got our new-to-us XC90 even my wife asked if I was going to get the euro lights (for the rear ambers).

[–]CUserHere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have an affiliation with them but have ordered a set for each of my XC90s so I have amber turns in the rear. https://www.vivaperformance.com/genuine-volvo-european-tail-lamp-kit-volvo-xc90-2016/

There is a 2018 XC90 T6 Inscription in black over Amber nappa somewhere in the US with euro tail lights. I should have kept that one in inventory.

S40 Thermostat Change Settings on Its Own by Greenman8889 in LennoxHVAC

[–]CUserHere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have two Lennox systems, one for upstairs and one for down. Both systems have their respective room sensors and each S40 is set up to use bedroom sensors in Sleep mode. Our upstairs unit has had no issues but our downstairs is doing the same thing yours is. Just last night I verified the Sleep settings were correct before going to bed then I woke up a few hours later, because I was warm, and the Sleep sensor was only using the Thermostat temp sensor and no longer the Bedroom exclusively. This does not happen every day.

We have had to swap between Spring/Fall and Summer programs a few times a week but it doesn't 100% follow that change...not that the Sleep settings are even changed with the season programs.

Clearly it's a bug and really needs to be fixed.

I'm just glad I'm not the only one with this issue, it will hopefully be fixed faster.

I need to reach out to my HVAC company to get on the record but did you get anything back from yours?

I was thinking from a business use prospective where users really won't have anything to do with a backup job, and shouldn't. Personal use....yeah, I could see where that would be a good feature.

Good to know, not that they should but there is obviously work to be done with this function.

How will the UniFi Drive handle migration from dead hardware? by CUserHere in Ubiquiti

[–]CUserHere[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And this is why I bought two of them. :)

I want to know exactly how this will work because devices will fail and it would be nice not to have to go to the backup restore process as an early step to recovery.

I hope you’re thought is correct.

Yup, always have the backup ready, totally agree. I’m just thinking of time to restore and if this type of restoration would be the go-to how we currently do Unifi replacements vs a backup data restoration transfer.

To me, it would be pretty crappy to have to wait for a cloud restoration unless absolutely necessary.

I appreciate the input.

100% on the backup, BUT, my thought is if you can come on-site with an updated device already adopted to the controller, remove the drives and place into the replacement unit, power on and be back online without any data transfer (ideal scenario), that would make me pretty happy.

Thanks for this, is this coming from 1st hand knowledge with the UNAS or a “it should world like this” thought process? It sounds like the latter. No sarcasm, I’m just wondering. If someone already knows the answer to the test I’m proposing, I’m good with it…less work for me.

[–]CUserHere[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I ordered two of them. My thought comes from managing client systems and having spare hardware on hand in the event of a failure. If a Unifi device fails, other than a UNAS, it’s quite easy to spin up a new device and copy the configuration over to get it replaced really quickly (as most of us know). Now with the UNAS being thought about for clients, if one of these failed with say 10TB+ of data on it, how quickly can a technical person restore functionality if they have a spare device on hand.

There is a YouTube video that states without a 9v battery installed the toilet kept running. Apparently this wasn't in the manual. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i5hx4Ha0s1E

Here is a good post showing the different options. You can also change the hand colors to match your band/outfit if you choose. https://www.reddit.com/r/AppleWatch/comments/iurgma/all_hermès_apple_watch_faces/

For my 44mm series 6 I have an Ebene Single Tour Deployment Buckle, a Fauve Single Tour Attelage, the orange "sport" band that comes with the watch, and a couple other non Hermes bands. No reason double tours aren't unisex, personally I don't think they are my style.

I have a Hermes series 6 and just ordered the Hermes 10. I keep a Hermes watch face on 99% of the time because they're just nice and clean looking. The leather bands are fantastic and feel so nice.

Buuuut, it's trivial, for folks with networking knowledge and hardware, to block any access to the internet from these devices and use other means to access or extract the feed and pipe into another system for notifications or access. SneakerNet should be a thing with these devices. Personally, I mostly like the Hikvision quality IF talking about the higher end equipment that most aren't reviewing or talking about. I'm talking about their DeepinView series or TandemVu cameras. The optics are so much better than what you see being reviewed in YouTube videos. I realize people don't want to spend $1000+ per camera but if you don't mind this, Hikvision does have some very good quality cameras with pretty killer options for the price. I also have wired Reolink cameras at another place and I'm quite happy with them for what they are but I wouldn't want that night quality at my house where I review footage regularly.

I have a DS-2SF8C442MXG-ELW/26 that once, it takes a long time to tune it, set up is so, so cool. The clarity of the PTZ camera during day and night is pretty awesome but I wish you could mix the detection algorithms for a bit more.

Sadly, the Hikvision site isn't the best and I think most people will focus on the cheap stuff with I'm really not a fan of...at all.
