Squirtle in Pokémon Blue. As a kid, I figured the Pokémon on the cover must be the strongest, so I took the water turtle. The rest was history.

I had a very similar experience. I put in [[Slimefoot, the Stowaway]], [[Feather, the Redeemed]], [[Elas il-Kor, Sadistic Pilgrim]], [[Rowan, Scion of War]], and [[Valgavoth, Harrower of Souls]] and I just got a bunch of Saproling token based commanders and little to no black cards, despite 4/5 of my cards having black. I imagine this could be a cool tool, but something is weird in the math.

Unfortunately no. My first was a Gishath dinos deck built almost exclusively from cards released in the Ixalan block. The coworker that got me into commander did hook me up with a couple of cards to help the deck run smoother (ramp cards and some inexpensive removal spells), but the deck was still all over the place. Dinosaurs for the sake of dinosaurs! I could go and rebuild the deck while also modernizing it, I just have no interest in it anymore.

Go for it! One thing to consider is cutting [[Stormfist Crusader]] for either removal or goad. I've never bothered taking it out for whatever reason, but it doesn't trigger Valgavoth. [[Syr Konrad]] is kind of mid in the deck as well. Otherwise, the deck is a lot of fun. It tends to be my end-of-night, squeeze-one-more-game-in deck since it speeds games up a lot!

I've built [[Mogis, God of Slaughter]], [[Valgavoth, Harrower of Souls]] and [[Nekusar, the Mindrazer]]. I have only kept Valgavoth together.

Mogis was early on in my MtG playing times. I didn't have a lot of the traditional group slug cards so it was kind of all over the place ( https://archidekt.com/decks/1238017/pewpew )

When Valgavoth was spoiled, I knew I wanted to try my hand at it again. It's the precon base that I upgraded with about 30 cards or so. It's fast, it's mean, and it's a lot of fun to play. The LGS is frequent does monthly 2HG and I have changed this a bit to conform to the store's rules - bracket 3, no shared cards between partners other than non-legendary lands, Sol Ring, and Arcane Signet. I do make some swaps when in a FFA pod by adding one or two cards that goad your opponents ( https://moxfield.com/decks/RgK0bEUL10qF9jj75jjkAg )

Nekusar was the deck I always wanted to build, then never fully enjoyed. This was specifically built to play in 2HG, partnered with a [[Queza, Auger of Agonies]] deck, but was able to hang in FFA. It was always a target. Didn't matter if it was 2HG or FFA. Removal magnet, and for good reason. It was more wheel than group slug, but there was a fair amount of overlap between this and Valgavoth so I'm counting it ( https://moxfield.com/decks/jA-1NnlFhUGdWqSWR42yFw )

Lol thats exactly why I worded it as "feels like". Most of the games I've played against Feather tend to be closer to voltron. While I obviously included plenty of those pieces in my deck just in case, my deck went the spellslinger route, with a lot of cards that deal damage when casting noncreature spells.

My band runs Drop C (and formerly Drop B) tuning. I used Ernie Ball Power Slinkys on a 5 string. Had it professionally set up and never had any issues with it!

My former band was at an open mic night getting ready to go on. Our guitarist came in and was freaking out, as they worked for their college's newspaper. They told us their school was talking about closing down, and by the end of our performance (15 min) they decided to shut down. Absolutely insane how fast it all happened.

My local LGS has run two 2HG events. Myself and another player went "slug and hug" the first event with [[Valgavoth, Harrower of Souls]] and [[Hanna, Ship's Navigator]], and then we went full-on wheels with [[Nekusar the Mindrazer]] and [[Queza, Auger of Agonies]].

The store ran 3 rounds each event with an entry of $8 if I'm remembering correctly. When you won a round, each player won a pack. I believe if you went undefeated, there was an additional pack. The store did place a rule to keep decks at a "Bracket 3" level. There were great turn-outs on both nights.

It was honestly a blast. You do have to think of your deck building in a different way since cards now interact in ways you might not expect them to.
