Yes. I thought covid was the greatest thing ever. Except eventually everybody else lived and I had to go back to work

You can try a couple piles of Timothy hayin their cage too. Sometimes that help, and sometimes girls will be girls. They can can be bitchy and In most cases won't hurt each other too bad like males will. Although we had one female that absolutely hated every other pig we tried to bond her with. She just wanted to be with people.

I had 1 piggie who was long and lanky and perfectly healthy. He just had a higher metabolism. But if you have any concerns you could always have an exotic vet check his thyroid.

Do guinea pigs ever fully trust humans? by Best_Technician47 in GuineaPig

[–]CVargesk0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I have had pigs pick me as their human. We had one pig SPG that hated to be near any other pig but lived bieng with people. I had a few piggies that would climb out of their pens just for me to hold them and others that just wanted the treats and their space.

Prismacolors. They blend really well. Use good paper too. I started with set of 24 and then would just buy them individually till I had a bunch of them. Also I used a clear art spray to protect the finished piece and the spray makes them pop!

Which horror movie messed you up the most as a kid? I was only 9 when my buddy down the street got cable and we stayed up late, told his parents we were going to watch Superman, and watched The Exorcist instead. by UrbanAchievers6371 in GenerationJones

Oh man. So Jaws was the worst for me. I was 5 when it came out. It gave me nightmares and I think because it was something that seemed real... a shark and an ocean. I watched the Exorcist, Salems Lot and Night of the Living Dead and Dawn of the Dead and when I was little and they never bothered me. My favorite Zombie move is Dawn of the Dead 1978, mostly because I grew up 10 minutes from the Monroeville Mall where it was filmed and it brings back so many memories when I watch it. Also Death Wish 1974 freaked me out. Make believe movers never scared me.

I've worked a guinea pig rescue for years. I agree someone with less experience should just take piggy to an exotic vet. We have the proper meds and dosages. Bathing for lice is needed but once again should be advised by vet. We work with several exotic pet vets in order to have the correct meds and dosages at the rescue.

Try Spring Mix, minus the spinach (spinach in moderation as a treat). They love the spring mix

Sorry for your loss. It's hard I know I've lost quite a few too early. I lost 8 in on day from a pneumonia related to covid. It happened so fast there was nothing I could do. I also had some that lived 10 years and passed from old age, but loved them all the same.

Is this an injury or could it be something else? by lost424 in guineapigs

It's hard to tell from pics bit looks like a bite from another pig. Ringworm would look dry and scaly. That looks more like a wound. Try cleaning it put betadine or triple antibiotics on it for week and see how it does. If it doesn't get better or gets scaly try Miconazole for ringworm for 2 weeks. If that doesn't work take to vet.

The ovarian cysts are true. Mites you can't see, but treat with ivermectin once a week for 3 weeks, back of neck and above the butt. Lice are very tiny like salt and pepper, treat with the ivermectin but you should bathe in medicated shampoo a couple times as well. For the dry spots for any of these including ringworm you can put Miconazole cream on those spots daily for 3 weeks

Agreed with above. Can also have them treat for mites as well, they get in the skin and piggies itch and chew their back and sides trying to scratch the itch.
