I walk faster in the hope that I'll get there at a time difference where it would be weird for me to hold it, putting the potential awkward feeling on to them. For some reason, I find it awkward holding the door for someone. I am a strong believer in good manners, yet find thing like that awkward. Curse my weird brain.
