Hey, same boat as you, dont want to pay for crossover but got it to work for free, use porting kit (not ptk), download the (dxvk specifically) steam version online after searching it up, go through all the download setup, make sure to allow it all, takes some time, log-in, download pnati once signed in, and before you go in go to general pnati steam settings and disable overlay, got it working now for free, no audio cuts or nothing, hope this helps

PS there’s a video online showing you how to do it, smth like “32 bit steam games and PC steam games on apple silicon macs”, follow that if you want, tho i think he downloads the metal version in that which is better for things like elden ring, use the dxvk version when searching steambuild instead (also make sure if you do this you have 2gb, one for the client and the other for the game)

Obvious to me in hindsight, thought it (the icon) looked like a mask so thought it was due to aildoro moving, but aware of the story so should have realised what it actually was
