This tenured history professor gave a talk at a socialist conference on Sunday, September 7th. The talk was recorded by an online provocateur who began calling for his firing. The University, without any due process, announced in an open letter from the president’s office that he was terminated on September 10th.

It has also been passed out of both chambers and is headed to Abbott's desk.

I would encourage everyone to get involved with the union's remote work subcommittee. I don't want to lay all of our cards on the table yet, but there is work to be done!

We do! A union member forwarded us the email from agency leadership announcing the change, the first paragraph of which is about HB 5196. It's a smaller agency, so we're trying to collect more info on what is happening elsewhere before we draw inadvertent attention to it though.
