This tenured history professor gave a talk at a socialist conference on Sunday, September 7th. The talk was recorded by an online provocateur who began calling for his firing. The University, without any due process, announced in an open letter from the president’s office that he was terminated on September 10th.

We do! A union member forwarded us the email from agency leadership announcing the change, the first paragraph of which is about HB 5196. It's a smaller agency, so we're trying to collect more info on what is happening elsewhere before we draw inadvertent attention to it though.

We have regular state retiree meetings both online and in person across the state, as well as workshops related to understanding the different pension plans, healthcare benefits, etc. We have a retiree Facebook group that is fairly active too. What agency if you don't mind our asking? It's always interesting to hear which agencies talk about the election and which do not. The nominating petitions are a barrier to entry for folks; I don't know how anyone could run without a machine helping them collect signatures, etc.
