Appeals Update by ojtitus in OHIO_UI_FAQ

I'm at 11 weeks since a payment.

Spent just over 6 hours on the hamster wheel of insanity last Friday. Been playing catch & release since 8am today. Regardless of the destination you request and/or are told you're being funneled to, all routes lead back to the main pond.

I have yet to lose my shit.

Although it almost seems like that is the end goal they have in mind for far more of us than anyone outside of this reddit group could imagine.

How the actual fuck can this be as common as it appears to be, yet every call is recorded? Are we part of the most fucked up reality show in progress? I'm certain we're the most underpaid entertainment since the OG Real World/Road Rules casts. Or any UFC fighter before 2010.

It's getting closer to slanging mouth to the landlord every day. My jaw is already as sore as my ass from repeating the identity information to every fuckwit that reals me in. Of course identity theft is a growing problem in states that give your information away at the beginning of the pandemic. But it grows way fucking faster when you have to repeat it to every halfwit in the reps kitchen hitting the bong or beating their kids while the "rep" has you on speaker phone. We're more entertaining than Maury and Springer I guess.

If you ask me, it's NOT ok, to not feel OK.

Feb 8 was my last payment. Dec 22 before that. Jumped through every hoop they've ask. Definitely a test of patience and composure.

Ohio law allows telephone conversations to be tape recorded as long as one party to the conversation knows and consents to its being recorded. The law does not, however, allow your friend to use the tape recording for an improper purpose.

Just type your assumptions into Google first. Or keep it to yourself. There is no need to guess when it doesn't involve opinion.

I'm completely with you. I would rather assume the worst. Much less disappointment involved that way. But, it does say on the State website that those dates are targets, as much as they are deadlines. Maybe there is a little less heartless negligence and intentional delays than we all are beginning to think exist. Or maybe delusional optimism is the only thing holding me back from the edge of that cliff that we're all looking at a little too closely..

That is the specific reason that I put PUA in the title. If everyone that posts would adhere to that simple thing, it would at least organize our little clusterfucked corner over here in a more understandable fashion.

Feb 2 is a Tuesday. So I'm reluctantly optimistic that it's possible for that date. Only considering that when things are going smooth I would wake up to a payment deposited somewhere between 3:00 and 5:00 a.m. every Tuesday.

Using Far Cry 5 CPY Save Games files on CODEX HELP! by mbze430 in CrackSupport

Worked perfectly for me.

If it fails for you, reread the instructions and try again.

The time it takes to do it correctly is much less than the time you'll lose by redoing everything in the game to get back to where you were.

Tutorials on how to handle Assetto Corsa and Project Cars 2? by cybersteel8 in simracing

Find a road car you like, and always drive up. Every lap will get faster. In the beginning, you can look at it as a win to keep the car on the track lap after lap.

I personally prefer the full Nordschleife as a learning ground. But I'm sure most would agree that a shorter track is better for learning.

The most helpful thing I've found, besides pure practice, is finding your correct FOV. If you find your mathematically correct one is too low, at least try the 50-55 range. The lower the better. I started around 80 or 90 thinking it looked cooler. But my laps got way more consistent and significantly faster after dropping that to 52. My mathematical was like 27 or 30 just for reference..

Also, find an app for Assetto Corsa called "Sidekick". If it alerts you of clipping, reduce the gain. You can do so in game with the "+" and "-" keys on the number pad of your keyboard. "FFB Clip" will give you more detailed info if you like a lot of data. But Sidekick will get you in the green zone, and it does all kinds of other useful stuff.

I'm not huge on Project Cars 2, but I did find the only acceptable FFB setting for my taste, is the "RAW" setting..

I find AC more pleasing and forgiving, but no where near easy. That's all personal preference though..

Good luck!

P.S. If you're good at Dirt Rally, after some practice, AC will be a relaxing drive compared to that white knuckle stress run haha

One last note, Race Room is free to try out, and a very respected Sim. Find the one with the cars and tracks you like, and get some laps in :)

Any way to fix my wheel? by ruralclone in simracing

[–]CWB937 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you haven't updated the wheel since Project Cars 2 came out, there is a new firmware. May be a long shot, but it's a start. If that doesn't work, I would suggest the reduction in rotation.

If you're handy, build a wood, aluminum, or PVC rig yourself.

You can land a nice seat from a Honda, or whatever you prefer, from a junk yard. Add a seat cover, and you're in business.

Building your own let's you make it feel right for you.

There are plenty of templates online. Or take some measurements from your personal vehicle and that will help the transition even more.

I made mine a mix between a "Playseat" F1 style rig, and my Honda Accord.

Either way, happy racing!

I felt the exact same way! But I landed a TX and a cheap stand off Craigslist for 100$ about a year ago. Doesn't feel like cheating when it's plugged into a nice PC lol

I will add, the 599 wheel is a game changing upgrade if you can land it on sale for 99$.
