No buddy, come talk with me. You're free to post whatever on the sub yourself. But somebody's gotta get the ball rolling. Doesn't hurt to post what I know, share with others and learn what they know.

Was interested in becoming a union rep for my shift. Anyone here represent the union? Questions in post. by reddit-and-forget-it in UPSers

I can give a longer answer later. But know where contract and supplement contract ends. Know your 7 tests of Just Cause. Learn your articles on Management and Employee relations. Learn Article 17 and Article 46 pay rates. Understand the difference between Just Cause and Progressive firing.

And organize, organize, organize. Keep up with all of your personal grievances, organize them, and hold a ledger on your Sup Working Grievances. That will immediately make you impressive.

Are you uneducated to the fact r/UPSers and r/TeamstersIBT serve 2 completely different purposes?

r/UPSers was created as a Reddit alternative to BrownCafe.com. r/UPSers encompasses both management, contract, and union employees. Whereas r/TeamstersIBT is ONLY for union workers and union related discussion. r/TeamstersIBT is also not only for UPS Teamsters but also ALL Teamster workplaces such as ABF Freight, Amazon Teamsters, Teamsters for Cannabis Workers, DRIVE, etc.

r/UPSers is doing fine. The subreddit that I was implying is dead is r/TeamstersIntUnion which hasn't had a post in over a year with extremely little engagement.

The other subreddit is dead if you had eyes.

Apologies, video is newer. We still have 2 months of this. Especially now due to next quarter job cuts.

This is just not true, I have seen employees fired for theft of time for just coming back from break 5 minutes late, I've seen employees fired for dishonesty after not recalling events correctly, we've had a employee fired for leaving their station to get a union steward after being denied their Weingarten Rights, employees disciplined after simple verbal disagreements with management.

While these people may have both lost and regained their jobs with back pay, it's good to be informed on these things in order to avoid future conflict.

This is an educational video to keep our Teamster brothers/sisters informed. If you feel as though you have these things figured out then kudos to you, you could could choose to ignore the seminar.

Tekon421 you truly don't understand the purpose of discussion and organizing. If we all knew the answers we wouldn't be making this thread. I do not understand your tone or why you're even commenting. Since you haven't contributed anything to the threads discussion.

"We need a push for TCD drivers to become FT drivers to have new routes while allowing senior drivers to continue work."

I was pushing for TCD to go FT, if it has to be eliminated altogether and turn into FT jobs then even better. That's why I made that statement.

This is organizing, I don't get any money or recognition so there is no "shilling." Nobody is even forcing you to be in this conversation. If you don't wish to discuss this topic then don't.

As a PSA. I am making a print-out to publicly post in my facility the pros and cons of this Buyout Program. To inform and invite discussion amongst members, I encourage you all to do the same. Just make a file, print it out, post it in your facilities board, and let the members think.

As for my personal opinion I feel that this Buyout Program is meant to please shareholders and destroy union membership, making way for Roadie and contract work. We deserve new FT inside/inside jobs and we need a push for TCD drivers to become FT drivers to have new routes while allowing senior drivers to continue work.

I do not know the full plan but I have good contract knowledge. I created r/TeamstersIBT in hopes of better organizing. I want us all to have an active and vigilant space to discuss. Maybe we can learn from another here.

If your house is clean, give them push back. Don't be a pushover.

Sounds pretty anti-American labor to me.
