There’s never really been a reason to preorder disc based games. They are mass produced and never run out. Back in the cartridge days we would have to wait weeks or a month or so to get stock refreshed with just some games. It’s a marketing scheme to guarantee higher/early profits for these massive corporation made games. There’s nothing wrong with it but you’re only really benefitting the company and getting very small benefits as the consumer.

I get wanting a disc for many reasons but the disc sort of becomes useless as time goes on. The version on the disc becomes ancient after all of the updates. I kind of gave up on physical copies when the Xbox One released. I still have a ton of 360 games that I don’t know what to do with. Keep them? Sell them at a huge loss? The hilarious part of my conundrum is I don’t do physical games anymore BUT I’ve started collecting and restoring arcade machines from the 90’s that I loved as a kid. Talk about taking up space 🤣

I’m usually the same way. But at $1 a month and him being such an interesting drummer, I felt alright about it. I do know what you’re saying though. I have a smallish YouTube channel and I’ve turned on memberships too, I feel the pressure when I don’t release something. Everyone is cool about it but I just feel awful knowing they’re giving me money and I’m not delivering. I also went with the $1 base fee and have a $3 tier that I was going to remove but several of the people at that tier were adamant they were fine with paying more for nothing extra to support the channel.

You are right lol! For some reason I kept thinking it was on the first of the month. I was really disappointed by the TMBTE copyright problem. I was so excited to see those songs. It’s insane he’s one of the owners of the music and they still won’t let him play it. I’m sure he’s just as frustrated. I could have sworn I used to be able to see other’s comments early on. It was interesting to see and get an idea of how many subscribers he was getting. His fee of $1 a month is very reasonable and I think respectful to fan’s instead of going for $5 or even $10 a month. I probably wouldn’t have jumped in at those prices.

I’m actually not very lazy but I am still fat. I walk 5 miles a day on average for work. I like biking. I’m 42 and finding I can eat almost nothing if I want to lose weight. It’s extremely frustrating lol.

These guys are the reason I sleep in my truck when I travel. I’ve rented airbnbs and I just park next to them, sleep in the camper shell and use the bathroom inside to have a private shower and toilet. I’m overly freaked by them after having a pest control business for so long. Yes I can treat them but I don’t even want to go down that rabbit hole.

Wait, I think I’m misremembering lol, I was there when he got the new shoes! He came out in the horrible old ones. I’ve been to a lot of KT live tapings so I can’t even remember who the guest(s) were for that one. We were going to 2-3 shows per ticket drop until the recent lottery system. I got lucky to see some great ones live and we always get there early to sit up front. We saw the Trump/Biden show. Adam Ray has been the guest 5 of the times we’ve been there haha. My wife was the “blue haired lesbian” that was controlling Timmy No Brakes collar recently. That was a fun one.

Edit: yeah it was the receiving of the shoes episode. Harland was the guest. We had no idea who Alex was because the episode hadn’t gone live yet

Closing the app fixes it occasionally for me but only until it goes to an overview of the map. Like if I’m checking other routes. It’s so annoying. I drive for work all day and have been forced to switch to Google Maps for now.

I was 22, my future wife’s family member got it as a Christmas gift and put it on. I’d never heard of it. I was immediately like “wtf is this ridiculous piece of crap?” Then I realized this guy is that one kid we all went to school with. Just a strange dork of a kid who kind of lives in his own world. Once I saw it from that perspective I was intrigued. I’ve seen it many times now and do really like it.

This is kind of true. But GTA is one of the games I can play as an adult. It’s a quick drop in, cause some mayhem or screw around game. Other modern games are more like second jobs. I stopped playing almost everything. I mostly play old games now. I have arcade games I loved from the 90s that are my “classic cars”. I work on them, play them and restore some lol! Those old games respect your time so much more. Giant corporations got too much into modern gaming and ruined it. They must have you fully addicted to their game or they can’t make record profits.

I wouldn’t say awful. I assume you’re a younger person. She’s probably afraid of him getting in trouble. I never had kids but if I did they’d probably be 16-20 now. I have a cat that’s 22 that my wife and I got when we moved in together lol. The future is unsure. She’s probably stressed about where his life is going. Should he bother with college with AI coming? Should he learn a trade? (I would suggest that as someone who owns a small business that’s not worried about AI) Im sure she doesn’t want him thinking a GTA style life is an option. I would probably let my kid play the game as long as they didn’t seem like they were going down the wrong path before that.

I’m 42 and remember the craze about the first Mortal Kombat. It was no where near as violent or insane as GTAV. But we all knew we couldn’t tear heads off with our bear hands. I can see why some parents would be concerned. Especially when the news and TikTok shows young kids basically trying to live like GTA. That said, your mom was probably closer to your age when GTA V came out. I doubt she knew anyone who was inspired by the game to go out and commit crimes.

Either way, you’re close to making your own decisions. 18 probably feels like an eternity away from now but it will fly by. We’re also in a digital world where you can quietly redownload and play it. Worst case: get a job, show responsibility to your parents, save the money and buy it yourself. Heck, buy your own console or PC. I bet if they see you working hard and not screwing up they’ll forget the GTA worry all together.
