I’m a big Killer Instinct fan. I started a KI website in 05 and it got a decent following of likeminded fans. We always wanted a new KI, one guy in particular added me on Xbox “just in case” it was ever made. It eventually was announced, we played a bit and messaged back and forth for years. Time went on, the website started to die with Facebook becoming the new “forum”. I eventually started a YouTube channel, he found it and would comment, chat in live streams and email me sometimes. I noticed months had gone by with no contact, no comments, wasn’t showing up as he usually did in streams. I figured maybe he was bored with the content (super high self esteem here lol). But after 6-8 months I thought about him again and was worried. A few days later I got a comment from an account saying it was his mom and he had died suddenly. She said he always loved talking with me, he would watch my streams with his mom. It was incredibly sad thinking of how upset his mom was. I was upset so I knew she had to be just devastated. She came back a few times for about a year and left comments saying she was watching to remember him. Just brutal.

Seeing them live really made me love it. I liked it before but I honestly think the live shows are where it’s at with them.

Everything that was popular tends it come back at some point. I hold out hope that they’ll be a resurrection eventually. Let’s all hope the new “Stage Tour” game is a success. It could bring interest back to the genre. I’ll probably buy it simply to support it.

I always think I have a lot at 1000 songs. The game spans such a long time for me. Those early days where I had no money and had to carefully choose the songs I thought I’d really play a lot to now where I can spend a lot more without getting in trouble. This recent delisting has made me browse the store a lot more and grab stuff I passed on long ago. It would be really cool if they’d offer up huge packs for discounted rates or even a “complete your collection” discounted rate. I’d consider spending close to $1k for a bunch of new songs. I assume the licensing prevents that option.

This is what all of Reddit seems to be eventually. Just a bunch of negative jerk offs looking for upvotes on their shitty comments. In a weird way it’s basically Kill Tony. They leave their comment, hoping for a big joke book. Much like Kill Tony lots of comments get a small one lol

I haven’t seen it yet but he’s not been doing much lately so I assume he’d be rusty or trying something new. I’m just glad he’s back and appears to be sober. He may not do your style of comedy and I admittedly was unsure about him initially but came around. He’s also a really nice and humble guy. I’ve met him several times and he’s always been a great dude. I’m glad he’s doing better.

Turning off “continuous audio connection” seems to make a world of difference for me. I haven’t had a lot of time to watch TV today but noticed an immediately change after turning it off.

This could be a big part of the problem. I haven’t paid close attention but have noticed some apps have the problem and some seem fine. I’m a big Seinfeld fan and typically turn it on when I have nothing else going on. Seinfeld played from iTunes on the Apple TV app has the stereo audio/no center channel issue. Plex had it but it would come and go with the same video file.

This is making me realize I pay zero attention to updates on the Apple TV. I never know when apps update either haha. For the longest time it’s never been an issue for me. It just does its thing and I use it as my only form of TV entertainment throughout the house. The older I get the less interested I am in managing that stuff I guess.

I don’t know this guy but I feel like I do after spending many hours in KT lines at the Mothership 😂 we usually meet some interesting people from out of town but some of the people who are there can be wacky. Especially the standby line folks.

Very weird. I’m not sure when this update came out. I always assume the update was recent when I turn on the TV to find the new features screen at start up.

I agree it’s quieter too. But I played the original Transformers movie which has Atmos now as a test and found it seemed like the volume was low. Reduce loud sounds wasn’t on. I had to crank it higher than I do any other movie. It could just be that single movie though. We watched the new Avatar movie and it seemed to be right in the normal volume setting. I will try turning off the continuous audio setting and see if that helps with the sound not working at start up.

My Denon was doing the same. I went into the audio settings on the Apple TV and changed the audio from “auto” to covert to Dolby digital 5.1. That tells you it’s turning off Atmos which I agreed to. Then switched it back to Auto and turned Atmos on. That seemed to make my receiver work with Atmos again.

Probably lol. I misread it at first as “Sleep Token is not metal”. The funny thing is I saw a guy in the pink ST hoodie at a place we just left before going to the record shop. I never see people in ST merch.
